  Lawyers for the JWs present material that they claim may indicate political motives for the alleged persecution of JWs. However the documents are all from foreign organizations that have not investigated both sides, such as the UN, OSCE, official statements of human rights organizations, as well as archival documents.

  the crowd on the street (see photo) is now inside and the gallery is packed.. yesterday jehovah's witnesses presented a written legal argument - "objections to the administrative claim of the ministry of justice of the russian federation" - to the supreme court of russia which, in paragraph 254, argued that if the ministry for justice liquidates and bans the activities of jehovah's witnesses then this will force individual members to renounce or abandon their religion for fear of persecution.. download legal argument (russian).

  12.33 PM Moscow time.

  The court has retired to the deliberation room. All attempts by the Jehovah's Witnesses for an adjournment have failed.

  Interestingly the JWs applied to have 395 other legal entities of Jehovah's Witnesses added as defendants. The argument was that if the decision affects all JW legal entities then they all should be present. Rejected.

  Cuts since 2012

  i know that on paper the watchtower have about 8 million members but what if lots of them are just around so they dont get shunned and dont give any money in the box..they have been making cuts for a long time and in 2012 they closed 20 branch offices around the world,of course some people are giving lots of, money but they have to find the money for from 40 and 60 million magazaines a month..

  Think of the Watchtower's cut back as a 'spiritual circumcision.' Only in this case they were left with the foreskin, merely a remnant of what they used to be.
