For me the story was quite unexpected. Really. Suddenly you have thrown me in Wild West scenery and into Buffalo Bill Cody's youth. Like in a Wild west show the characters and events passed quickly but remained in my memory. Thats because of the impressive personalities you describe.
I asked why did Groogie leave just you that precious present after her death? Does this mean that she already had prepared this present for you before she unexpectedly died?
Perhaps like "the woodbine twineth and the vine dieth not" she knew that you would have liked the watch, betting is that she was sure that it was so.
It is touching how gambling debts were honor debts and how much she may have suffered about Matt Avery's and the Hyberger's unnecessary accidents.Buffalo Bill Cody tells the world a story about some words that have become considerable and should remain in memory because they speak about the most simple thing in the world - the love of a man to a blue eyed woman - and the value of each single man ....
perhaps each man who ever tried to bring something home after being gone for some days or tried to find a fitting gift for a special date or for christmas and new year, a gift that really was connotative and would remain in memory, which is not so easy to find.
