What do people expect god to do?
by punkofnice ini was watching the news about the french terrorist attacks.
not getting into that but i notice the media is churning it over a bit, now.

I think by praying and the minute of silence at 12.00 h today we can take part in the immeasureable sorrow. We show respect and compassion and it helps us in the process of overcoming it.
As everybody has different personal notions about God, for those who believe in aGod the hope in this God or religion overlaps with the common awareness of compassion and rightousness and the notion that every human sole has a high value and a Wonder, what unifies us as mankind compared with the basic human hope that the good will lately convince the evil.

Silent And Sweet Rebellion Going On Within JW Organization!
by lsw1961 inafter 1975, the vast majority remained as though nothing has happened.
but some left the organization.
however, there arose a third category who did not leave the organization, but brought a new view into their heart: jws are right in their core cause (gods kingdom as the solution to mankinds problems) but may or may not be right in their supplementary teachings, hence are not bothered about changes happening in this unimportant area..

Many like yoga many others not. Its the same with faith. Many like opera others not. We are not here to critizise someones likings or courage, I respect each man as wonder per se in the current stadium of personal development.
Faith itself is already a talent that not everbody has, only those who go along with it, try it out, understand it. Mediation about a bible text, mediation about a watchtower or the daily text or may it be the life in a monstery or Gandhis attitute to fight or thinking about interpretation of Quoran..Faith is an experience and cant be "preached". Thinking about such things alone is for many too much and unnecessary lost of time. Nobody can be urged to correlate with the state of faith of someone else. We as ex-JW-community have big respect of someones creed or opinion.
Therefore not everybody is ready to fight for something like Jesus fought for cleansing of the temple.
Many want to remain silent and want to wait and simple be good in their heart. I understand that. In the face of organisational shunning, a world of marking and disfellowshippment it is clear that many think what they want but behave as covered agent for benevolence and help others. It is like living in a theocratic state, where you cant do anything and cant say anything, but Iran has become much better in the meantime too, even momen are allowed to elect.!
They dont want to throw out the merchandisers from the temple. They dont destroy the donation boxes in the Kingdom halls, they dont destory the cash machines at the conventions as Jesus would have done perhaps.
But remember always, Jesus didnot harm any people or deafs when he cleansed the temple, he simply bowled down the tables of the dealers and threw the money on the bottom, he didnot kill anybody in the temple with the sword, suicide attack or excommunicate the dealers or publicy denounce them as APOSTATE persons, but he shouted out against the evil practise and intervened (this was no sweet rebellion):
Because he wanted that the people could pray to God in silence withouth the disturbance of moneybeggers. Jesus respected he dealers as human beings but stood up against the misuse of the place of worship. Against the evil but having the good for the dealer in mind, perhaps the dealer can be saved, the typical christian attitude, doing everything with the loving sweet intent.
How many would have the courage to stand up and risk everything even the life or at least a good stand for such a seemingly unimportant fight against beggers and dealers in the organisation, only with the intent that the brothers can have a clean place of worship?
I think I could not do that, i would be to anxious.

After hundreds and thousands of years of different interpretations and points of views there is only one option that we accept all possible options of understanding about a biblical term like "kingdom" as possible and principally as enrichment of our common human knowledge-database. Our hopes and misunderstandings are parts of our development. I am not discussing because I wanna win or "preach" but because I wanna show that there is an other thinkable option that would lead to another view about something, more a philosophical standpoint. -

Do you remember the words of Christ about the Sabbath?
Likewise it could be said that man is not made to serve the kingdom,
but the kingdom is made to serve man.
Indeed the Kindgom is inmidst of us, if Jesus is in our Heart, then it is.
God does not want to be king without man, aloofed. A independent kingdom only administrating the human belongings on earth, is not what god intended!
In ancient time if Jews said "The Kingdom", or "put the Kingdom First place in your life" it was the same as to say "love of God is on the first place and love to the neighbour on the second", the terms were interchangable. It circled around the spiritual regiment of God.
It was not a loofed teaching about some magical kingdom or humanlike regiment. Do you see how "love" is always mentioned by Jesus, "love God... love neighbour".
So it meant simply to put God (Gods domain) on the first place in ones life, the more people honour god, the more kingdom will be, so simple.
So the kingdom is not an "invisible" present kingdom but a "present by carried out love kingdom", insofar we believe that Jesus lives, insofar we love God and we love the neigbhour = thats the Kingdom domain, then it is present in our heart and life. The actual presence of Gods domain of love is represented throught the symbol of bread and wine.
So close as Love and mercy is in our heart and our brain, in our thoughts and feelings, so really present is gods kingdom
Would you agree to may idea:
Gods Kingdom = Regiment of Love ???

Further: In Gods Kingdom the issue is not DOMINANCE but SERVICE.
Not the question who takes the best seat of the 144000, to the right or to the left of christ;
is relevant but who serves most.
This shows that the biblical language and symbols of King, 144000 thrones are only symbols,
No absolute power comparable with human regimes is emphasized but the regiment of love
Therefor if we pray the call "Come, return Jesus",(second coming) we are not afraid of Armageddon
but we hope to see our brother-King Jesus again return like a king and judge full of mercy and love, as he was at the first time.
The real kingdom = domain of Love is not comparable to "Jehovahs kingdom" preached by JW.

As the avove scripure shows the kingdom does not circle around real aloofed 144000 kings in a distinct place,
its not a REAL (ABsolutistic) GOVERNMENT with obeying members, but is a kingdom of the LEAST ones., a kingdom of love for the least ones.

The kingdom should be a own thread, but additional it is interesting that the israel kings were anointed by usage of an anointing oil, crysam oil, the imageof the oil was clear :
The king was anointed to bring the people comfort, consolidation the comfort of God and alwyays the people should be more important than the king, the king should represent God and be his minister in comfort (theologically)
This anointement crysam oil is even used today during the confirmation rite of young girsl and boys in the church.
The Domain of God =kingdom of God is only a spiritual meaning about comfort and consolidation, as the anointing oil symbolically represents, it is completely not a matter of a real government as JW think.
The anointment with crysam oil is a spiritual comfort,
the anointed one = Messiah is a comforter and thus
the kingdom is a spiritual one,
which brings comfort to the people of all mankind,
over human engament, love among each other,
"The King will answer and say to them, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.'
