Trump will not be a good president for anyone no matter what your politics are.
..agreed 100% Lisa. It just sucks. I have to vote for the least "worst of two evils".
Trump's policies are indeed a random variable. However, I do know exactly what HIllary's policies are and I know with certainty that she would appoint a liberal judge to the SC, tilting the court left. I'm having so much trouble deciding to willingly vote for that, but I have no choice I guess.

What many fail to realize is that for those on the right there are huge and important issues at stake should another democratic president be elected into office. I myself for instance, am terribly conflicted (and as my luck would have it, this is the first election I will vote on as a fresh out exjw). Issues important to me:
-The next supreme court nominee
-Government controlled healthcare
-Gov infringing into religious rights and matters of conscience
-Increases in regulation and taxes
-President overstepping authority with countless "executive actions"
-National debt
Now, what do I do? Trump is an absolute asshole, a clown, and someone I would not want representing this great nation. Unfortunately he's the one that ~30 percent of the party voted for to become it's nominee. Hillary, on the other hand, will further policies that go contrary what I believe are good for the country, and instead will make it continue down a long-term path that I believe is no good. So, what do I do?
Some in my situation attempt to justify Trump's behavior and actions, because they have no choice. Me, I can't. He's an idiot. The party is getting what it deserves even though it was really a minority of it that elected trump as it's nominee.
Yet, I still have to vote for someone. My only option is to vote for Hillary as president and for repubs in congress, perhaps to attempt to balance the powers and prevent some of her agenda? It's just so twisted tho.
I just don't know. Again, we are just f*cked.

Why are there still so many of humanity that are immersed onto the lies, ignorance and delusions of religion ?
by Finkelstein inall religions under critical examination has been recognized inherently as formative lies devised to appeal to human emotions and as a means to cultivate power and control for a select propagating few.
knowledge acquired through scientific inquiry and evaluation has proven that all religious adherence was mostly drawn out human ignorance targeted toward the emotions and consciousness of people.
here we are in the 21 century and people like the jws are still adhering to the lies of christianity and how this religion developed over time.

Because:
-Many were born into it
-It explains the inexplicable (even if irrationally)
-It makes them a part of a community
-Majority do not have mental capacity or will to understand complex scientific processes
-It brings them hope of a better future, and of life after death

What would happen if Trump decided to step out of the race?????
.. Good question. I've heard conflicting opinions. Some say it's too late for a switch, others say VP nominee would step in.
You know, after watching the VP debate the other night, it seems to me that they should be the ones at the top of the tickets.

I am real. The move towards more socialism began long before Hillary, and will continue growing me thinks. Look at the strength of Bernie's campaign. A self declared socialist almost got the nomination of a major US political party. That would have never happened a few years ago.
Hillary wants the typical left talking points: $15 min wage, government paid college, singke payer health care and higher taxes on the better off. We can argue the merits of such policies all night long, but regardless of how you feel about them, they would be big moves to the left.
Also, doesn't change the fact that she's a "lying, corrupt nag" and so, as someone that leans right, all my options are terrible.

As a liberterian/conservative, I can't possibly bring myself to vote for this disgusting lunatic.
My next option, Gary, is a bozo, a completely inadequate bozo.
That leaves me with Hillary, a lying, corrupt nag, who will only take our country further into socialism and political correctness.
We are fkd

Welcome NotAnnointed. I'm sorry to hear about your wife and kids. Stay patient and hold strong, sooner or later she will come to her senses.
About the loss of faith in the God of the bible, it is true that some think that way because of the effect the JW faith has had in their lives, but for most of us, we've arrived at such a conclusion because of valid facts that we've had to take into consideration.
Be it as it may, whether you believe in God or not, the JW religion is a dangerous cult, and THAT is a message worth spreading.

Welcome Untruth,
I can relate to your situation, as earlier this year I too listened to my doubts and after doing some research also realized how wrong the org is. I too had to work with my "hardcore" wife; but, with time, she too saw the light. So there's hope my friend.
I stepped down as elder and informed the body the reason of my decision, that being I had serious doubts, and so I could not preach something from the platform that I wasn't completely sure about. Depending on how the individuals in your body of elders are, they might just think of you as "spiritually weak" and leave the matter in "jehovah's hands".
As for your wife, PATIENCE, LOVE, PATIENCE, LOVE, PATIENCE, LOVE. Also:
-DO NOT SHOW HER APOSTATE MATERIAL. At least not at first. Instead, use the bible and the watchtower's own publications to "research" a matter.
-Instead of telling her that something is one way or another, question everything and research together. Even if you've already done research previously and are well versed in the matter, pretend to be ignorant of it, tell her that you have questions on this point, and proceed to do research together. This is what I did with my wife, for instance with the 1914 thing. I told her I'd read in secular sources that Jerusalem wasn't destroyed in 607, and that I couldn't understand it, so we proceeded to do many nights of research together until she herself saw and had no choice but to accept all the evidence against the 1914 date.
-Avoid getting into heated debates. If you see that her emotions are boiling up, back off and let the matter go. Getting into heated debates will only harden her emotional wall, so, avoid them by all means. Instead, as per the first point, make it a "mutual consideration" of a subject, rather than a you against her debate.
-Be the best husband you can be. Show her that being happy does not depend on being a member of the organization, but rather in being good individuals. Entice her with things she likes that might distract her fro the org. For instance, if she likes traveling, entice her with an amazing trip that might "interfere" with meetings/preaching/assemblies.
