thought i would post this, if you are having any computer problems, strange windows popping up, computer saying you have errors (that you probaly don't have), or if you have picked up viruses, try downloading spyboy search and destroy, fixed my computer, i almost went out and bought a new one, now its like having a new computer.. and most important the program is free !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
takes about 15 minutes to run the whole program, found over 900 errors the first time i ran it, now my computer is a 1000 x faster and no stupid errors popping up when on the internet.. anybody else use this program ??????
I use both spybot and ad-aware. Spybot hasen't had many updates lately and seems to miss most of the issues I have. So when Big Tex suggested it a while back I tried it out.

The only thing I don't like about either one of them is that they try to take my alexa toolbar out, and I happen to like my toolbar. Alexa suggests one that doesn't do that,. but it costs money and I'm way too cheap.
for the last few years, many of my friends have lost their jobs and have not found suitable replacements.
most are on unemployment, and those whose unemployment has run out are simply eeking out some meager existence doing something they don't like, that doesn't pay well, and doesn't help to really reduce the stress they face every day.. well, to be honest, i used to laugh my ass off at them.

I just fail to see how it's so difficult to make a living. I mean, I've seen slow times here and there, but when I put my mind to it I pull out just fine. If I wake up tomorrow and for some reason there's no food on the table, give me till the afternoon and the shelves will be stocked. All it takes is to sit down and brainstorm. I'm still fairly young, so that helps, but I just don't get most people.
I'm sorry you guys are having a tough time, and I know it sucks to be out of work, but day in and day out I listen to people complain about the economy and the lack of work and it just baffles me.
I live in an economically depressed area no matter how the rest of the world is doing and I can't get people to work for anything. I have constant ads running in several papers around the northeast and rarely get calls on them. When people do come in to fill in an app, it's so I'll sign their stupid unemployment card stating they've applied. They don't want to work, they want their weekly check.
Even those not on unemployment are a pain in the ass. I can't get half my sales force to actually sell much of anything because if their commissions are too high they'll lose their food stamps. The sad thing is, they opening admit that!
We can blame President Bush, President Clinton, or whoever, but the real problem is the laziness of the American people. Work ethic is at an all time low and that's exactly what the problem is. Being a virtually unproductive nation, is it any wonder we're continually going down the drain?

most meetings i went to, children were brought to the washrooms in the back to be disciplined.
often i could hear a child yell or cry due to the spanking given by the parent.
people in the hall would have that look on their face meaning that it was alright to discipline a child by spanking him.
At my Hall, they actually assigned different 'sisters' to assist with discipline of un-ruley (SP?) children. As a matter of fact, our entire Elder Body was removed for some odd reason, except for one and women were used for various duties in the hall for a while.
Somewhere along the lines someone had a great idea that they should implement a group to stand at the back of the hall in case the kids got uptight. I remember this one lady was coming for a while and her kids actually were a bit out of control, but geez, all of a sudden they have to start going to Church and be quiet for 2 hours straight?
Anyway, one of her kids was throwing a fit and one of the 'sister squad' walked up and grabbed the kid to take in the back (For God knows what), and this lady stands up and screams "Fuck all of you crazy people" - Grabs her kid, storms out the door never to return (Good for her!)

i stopped going to meetings a year or so back for a variety of good reasons,but now im out,i am absolutely baffled at myself for just accepting in 1995(i think it was) the new "light"on the generation that will not pass away!basically,of course everything i had been taught, was tied up with the 1914 generation still being around when the end arrived,then it was out the window!.
what a weird new teaching that was!even weirder..no-one batted an eyelid!!.
my question is...if you were in the religion back then,did you just accept it ,no questions asked ,like i did?

i am doing some research on mormons, along with the watchtower org., and i'm looking for similar beliefs between the two.. i found a few, (i think), like:.
both believe in shunning.. both use the term "apostate".. both have "end time " predictions.... mormons = generation of 1832.. does anyone know of any other similarities?

Ya, I think you hit that nail right on the head. Most people don't realize the political power the LDS Church actually has. You're talking about a religion that controls an entire state!
