  i don't think you know what you are talking about. the economical connections are more complex than what you think.

  germany is the country that is most dependant on exports (export world champion). yet only 10% of its exports go to the US. i would assume the impact on the french economy would be very limited if the US would reduce buying their products - do you have a link to your numbers?

  by the way ...the US is also dependant on imports. and what you see as philantropic guesture to lets say africa or latin america (by buying their products) is in fact exploitation of these countries by US industry - like american fruit etc.).

  holy cow...where do you live???

  in any case...the experts that i have heard on the issue conclude that weapons in the population do not reduce crime but enhance it.

  NY is now one of the or the safest large city in the US. thats because of increase police activity and other programs. it would be better to go this way everywhere in the US instead of trying to put law enforcement into the hands of untrained civilians.

  oops missed that about the second one!

  crazy,

  russia was not badly equipped. they had a 3 to 1 supermacy in tanks and planes. though not quite as good as the german tanks still sufficient to win a war.

  yes the winter was a crutial problem. also if japan would have attacked russia instead of starting a war with the US the war might have ended differently.

  the idea that the germans wanted to terminate the jewish race is a) based on a single testimony and b) could not have been achieved in any case since only 4 million jews were ever in german controlled territory.

  the allies did not try to exterminate the germans but it tried to kill as many civilians as possible. imo quite comparable to what the germans did with the jews.

  the SMART is the perfect car for large cities with lack of parking space. its intended for driving to work or making shopping. its not intended for family transports (its a 2 seat car). the point is that in most cases people drive alone in their cars and for this cases its perfect (too expensive though).

  i like the beetle. cute design! for a family of four + its too small however (unless its used as second car).
