These photos are very inflamatory and because of the emotions in the US and the rest of the world for that matter, would go over like a lead balloon if publicized.
Thanks, Randy.

the watchtower depicted the world trade center as a tool of the devil.. http://www.thetruthhurts.freeservers.com/wtc.htm.
i'm working on some new pages of interesting cuts from the watchtower's book, revelation: its grand climax at hand!.
suggestions welcome.. exjws.net.

in my opinion, it's one thing to not agree with organizations that impose certain rules upon it's members, but it's quite another to turn one's back on god himself because of disagreements.
is there not still some higher power out there who has the best interest of humans at heart?
how can it be denied, especially in these terrible times, that something or someone is gonna have to step in and take over and end this havoc.
If God ever decides to show up and show that he is interested in this earth and the life on it, then I might consider not turning my back on him.
From what I see it is the other way around, if there is a God;
he turned his back on us a long time ago.
Until that time I just live a very good life and do more for mankind than I ever did as a witness.

ok.....any response will do, but if you're going to post a funny one, please also type your real thoughts along with it.. as for me, i'm pretty wild, but stable.
i never mention or show my fears; especially if my wife is around.
i can't bear to make her nervous.. ashi
Ashi,
I believe I am very stable and happy now compared to what I used to be.
When I was a witness I was a nervous wreck!
I had anxiety problems; I was also irritable and impatient with my kids. I was superstitious and afraid of Saten, the Demons, and the world. I was depressed and worried too much.
Would Jehovah save me at Armageddon?
What terrible persecution would me and my loved ones have to face? The unhealthy negative thoughts far out weighed the positive healthy ones.
I tended to over react to things that a person should be able to handle without letting it mess up their day.
My physical, mental, and emotional states have all vastly improved since leaving the organization.
I am actually happy to face each new day now.
I used to want to go to sleep and not wake up till the New Order.

last week, i told about how i watched the christmas eve sky, for santa claus, after my parents became witnesses, thinking he just didn't come to our house anymore.. here is another thing i did.
all through school (my parents became dubs before i went to kindergarten) i participated in decorating the room for christmas.
i sang all the carols, and ate the goodies that were brought my the moms.
Okay I guess I wasn't so perfect after all.
I always loved the Christmas music. Still do.
I never turned the radio station unless my mother or another JW was around. I have my own Christmas CDs now.
Loved the sparkle glitter and lights. Still do.
When I was in grade school I used to watch for the neighbors to throw out their Christmas tree then I would run over and collect tinsel.
I loved that stuff. It was so pretty!
I don't have to steak out the neighbor’s front lawn.
I have my own sparkly stuff now.
P.s.I got your card today Mulan.
Thanks!

Mulan,
And here I deprived myself all those years and now I find out that lots of witness kids partook of the festivities.
I am wondering now why I had to be such a goodie two shoes!
Even my own children have been making confessions like this to me.
Oh well I'm glad sombody had some fun.
I'm making up for it all now.
Ozzie,
Tell your wife not worry about not knowing what to do.
Just do what you want to do.
Theres no exact formula for Christmas. The fun is developing your own traditions using ideas from others.
It will all fall into place in time.
I don't hide my ignorance about these things. My new friends have given me decorations they don't want any more and are thrilled to answer any question I have about the holidays.
They seem to enjoy my excitement about it all.
I am not ashamed about my background.I had no choice in the matter.
I am taking control of my life now and would only be ashamed if I turned that control over to another controling religion.

after the lord had drowned every living thing on the surface of the earth except noah and his family and the animals brought to the ark, he told noah that from that time forth there would be no more apocalyptic floods, and as a token of his good intentions the lord would create the rainbow:.
and god...spake unto noah, and to his sons with him, saying...i establish my covenant with you.... neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
and god said, this is the token of the covenant which i make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: i do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
Hi Joseph,
I started a thread awhile back called The Rainbow Myth.
Thought you might find it interesting.

some people that come here regularly, do so to rationalize the fact that they have left the organization?.
that's kind of how i feel.
we talk about false prophecies, etc that the wtbts has done in the past, but if you believe the bible is real, isn't someone right?
Croc,
Some come here for the reason you mentioned.
This is not the case for me or many others though.
It's always nice to associate with people with simular backgrounds. We make new friends here and it softens the terrible void that happend when we lost all friends and family at once because of this religion.
WT has hurt and lied to us and they continue to do so.We don't like seeing this happen to our families and friends either.
Some of us want to expose their hypocricy.
There are lots of reasons for us being here.
Also I believe the bible is a real book but I don't believe it is inspired by God.
This comes as a result of actually reading the whole thing and doing lots of research.
The Age of reason by Thomas Paine is one book I found especially interesting when it comes to the Bible.
Here is the website where you can read it,

earlier in isp's thread, someone posted a reprint of a 1952 wt article likening women to cows.. i cut and pasted the whole article to my dad as well as my sister and a jw friend who continues to talk to me despite my being labeled apostate.. i did not change any words, only highlighted or bolded the sentences that i thought were especially outrageous.. i sent the article under the 'guise' of a lighthearted joke to this sister, and telling her she needs to do her wifely duty and bear children to her husband.. a few minutes ago, i received this response from my dad.. lisa, .
i don't understand your purpose in sending me e-mails of a 40-year old article from the watchtower that i already have access to if i chose to spend the time to look it up.
i can sense from your "subject" and the high-lighted portions of the article that your intent was perhaps to riducule the counsel, especially the comparison of a young girl to a cow.
Comf,
That's a funny cartoon!
I took a little while to load but it was worth it.

LDH,
Oh, my goodness! I was the one who posted that artcle this morning before getting to work.
I feel like such a trouble maker now.
Sorry it didn't sit well with your dad.
What gets me, is he says that the article has nothing incorrect in it.
That's really sad.
This article is chock full of things that are incorrect.
One huge myth that this article promotes is that women are only interested in sex when they are ready to conceive.
