  First Reaction To My UN letters

  my husband called his cousin this morning and the first thing the cousin said to my husband was something like, are you aware that your wife sent us some information that was very disturbing to us?.

  my husband let him know that he did not know i was sending out those letters but he had since done research on the info and found that i was correct.. the cousin asked my husband if he was aware that i could be in trouble for a letter like that.

  my husband informed him again that i was telling the truth and he had called the un himself to verify.. the cousin said he would call the society to see if this is true but.

  Our town just got hit by terrorists!!!!!!!!!!

  my boss just called on a cell phone - he went to arby's for lunch and 3 people of arabic decent ran in an threw some sort of chemical on the floor and ran out.

  us 41 was closed and he is being quarantined.

  i am worried - hope he is ok. hopefully this is a fluke, but i just don't know.

  I did not make up the spores on key board report.It was on Cnn.
  If I repeat what I heard and where I heard it thats exactly what I heard!
  If the news changes as more facts come in that doesn't hurt my credibility.Just because I said I heard it on the news doesn't mean that I expect every one to accept it.If your interested turn on the news and see how the live news reports develop.
  I know people are scared. I do not try to make it worse.

  Is the UN 'scandal' the big one ?

  looking at the stats, there are well over 14,000 views of the thread about the un.

  the next 'most read' thread is around 9,500 so it is clearly a burning issue.. i wonder if the involvement with the un is the biggest threat to the wts?.

  they are getting badly burnt because of their covering up child abuse and www.silentlambs.org is doing a great job of raising the profile of this but even so, i can see the 'mental defense mechanism' of many jws excusing this as 'individuals imperfection'.. they cannot excuse the gb getting in bed with the un.

  I don’t know how it could get much bigger than this but every time I think that something else happens that seems more shocking than the last.
  Each issue has helped some to see through this org.
  I just don’t know if anything will help the majority though.
  I believe with all my heart that the few are worth our effort.
  However now that I know WT does not have backing and special protection from God I think any thing is possible!

  Everyone,
  There's one thing I'd like to point out here.
  I hope I'm never judged on my credibility based on the fact that I can't or won't tell were I live at this time.
  I don't know what happened exactly on this thread and I don't know what MR Moe was thinking.Neither did you.This is just something I want yall to think about.

  I do not live in a city.I live in such a small place that If I told where I live some people would Know exactly who I am.I know it's hard to imagine a place this small exists but it does.I'm not ready to come out yet, so please dont judge any one for not being specific on these things.

  I knew I had to make this letter very simple and to the point. I learned this from the Thursday night ministry school #(35) Material adapted for field ministry

  It is frustrating I know but it is to be expected, we will get a mixed reaction to truth.
  Just view this as reverse field service and I bet your results will still be better and more fulfilling than our JW days.

  they are sticking with Jah’s org no matter what because no matter what mistakes they make he appreciates them teaching him the truth from the bible and there’s no where else to go.

  My husband said hecould tell he was disturbed even though he was saying these things.

  So the seeds of truth were planted. Hehe[J]
  We will see what develops over time.

  I told my husband that he should have told his cousin that I sent one of these letters to my PO just to show him how afraid I am of the kind of trouble he was speaking of. He didn’t.
  I’m sure I’ll have more stories later.
  Here’s a copy of the letter:

  Dear
  Hello, I’ve missed you. Just a short letter to say hi and let you know that we are all doing well. I hope this letter finds you doing well to. The kids are growing like weeds!
  Recent events have every one wondering if this is it? There’s excitement and anxiety both for just about everyone.

  I thought you would find this interesting.
  I went to the UN’s official website and found out some information I didn’t know before.
  The UN has governmental members as we are already aware of, but I found out that they also have non-governmental organizations as well. They are called NGOs and are associated with the DPI or (Department of Information) section of the UN.
  In order to become a member an organization has to show proof of their non -profit status, fill out a lengthy application, promise to support the UN and its goals and promote its Charter. They must also promote the UN’s DPI information in their literature.
  I was not surprised as I scanned down through their alphabetical listing of members to see just about every religion and church you could think of listed. Catholics, Jews, Muslims and on and on. I was feeling very smug, thinking about all these religions “prostituting” themselves with the “Scarlet Colored Wild Beast “ That feeling didn’t last because when I got down to the W’s guess who I saw listed right along with the rest of them. Yes, the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society!!!!!!
  If you call the UN you will be told that the Society has been members since 1991.
  We all know what happens to a witness who joins any governmental organization. You are automatically disassociated! Their hypocrisy and corruption knows no bounds!
  This info has caused such uproar that the UN and WT society is being swamped with phone calls faxes and emails. Some have already disassociated themselves; some are just in shock not knowing what to do!
  The UN was sent copies of some of the negative things the organization has put in its literature about them. The UN is now having a special meeting to review their membership.
  The Watchtower society has been riding the back of the wild Beast for 10 years now. They never counted on the Internet exposing their affair!
  It all makes sense to me now. Before, I couldn’t figure out why the society had changed their tune even saying nice things about the UN in the magazines over the last few years.

  There’s so much more that you don’t know about this organization. I won’t say anymore because I think this is more than enough to digest for now.
  I am not happy about this but I love you and you deserve the truth about the “Truth”.

  i just got off the phone with a man in patterson concerning this issue and i will post most of convo here.. first of all if you do call beware they play kingdom melodies when you are on hold!.

  Instead of using the word historical that bro should have said hysterical!

  But just to humor them we can go with historical because it was just as wrong for WT to be associated with the Wild Beast ten years ago as it is today according to their own teachings.
  If they go with that senerio then they have to accept that their religion has been false and unclean up to at least the day they severed their ties with the UN.
  It just doesn’t wash does it?

  Also Messengers analogy about a ” historical affair” is priceless!
