The Truth About Bible Principles: Chastity and Abstinence
by sabastious injehovah's witnesses have a vast array of buzzterms that are fed into them on a regular basis, not the least of which is the term "bible principles.
" for most of my life i was convinced that only members of the watchtower bible and tract society were applying bible principles in the correct way.
this was mainly because we believed we had the correct translation of the holy scriptures which was largely rejected by "satan's world.

The only people that don’t feel any guilt are psychos. If you are doing something that harms others you should feel some guilt, don’t you think?
The problem is some people only see what is in front of them and don’t realize their actions have consequences for others.
Religions have abused this power over people, but the principle of right and wrong still remains.

Whatever works for you nc. Same as with western society being more evolved than others, and you finding that thought repulsive, whatever works for you.
There are plenty of other very interesting cultures in the world with a lot to offer in terms of personal freedom and progress. Maybe you should consider a move.

Chasteness is purity. Sex can be pure. Abstinence doesn’t guarantee chasteness. Hypocrisy even less so.
The OT has two standards for men and women, Jesus treated both equally. The WT took the story of the woman that was going to be stoned out of the Bible. Very telling as to how they view things.

I know of sisters and brothers that were marked for marrying a worldly person, the elder that marked one of them, was having an affair with a sister in the congregation. It came out later.
Others have married a person that ticked all the theocratic boxes only to be disappointed later as they were not very nice people after all.
Still others have lost opportunities with valid worldly people they were in love with and they are alone now, getting older, and without much of a career going on for them either, as they are wasting their time away pioneering for this corporation and waiting for the new system, to be able to do all the things they didn’t do in this life. Sad.

Atj, sin is evil, the difference between religions is in what they consider evil, for some is something as simple as not agreeing with them, or being “brazen” and making your own decisions in personal matters.
For others is doing harm to others.
There is a difference between right and wrong, not addressing this difference is wrong.

What Gilead Taught ME
by AllTimeJeff inthey mean the leadership.
all of this is code for: one who is not ready to really study and accept how the leadership of jehovah's witnesses use the bible to their own self serving means.
but to be fair, jw's teach that most all of these characters refer to the leadership of jehovah's witnesses, the governing body.

Thanks for bumping this information, very telling. The Bible does mention them, but not as Christ's brothers.
“Be on the watch for the false prophets that come to you in sheep’s covering but inside they are ravenous wolves. By their fruits you will recognize them.”
“Then if anyone says to you, look! Here is the Christ, or there! Do not believe it, for false Christ and prophets will arise…”
“For I say to you, if your righteousness does not abound more than that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter into the kingdom of the heavens.”
“By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves.”
I am glad to hear you are doing well now.

Preaching the good news in Africa . . . WTS's future?
by sizemik inthere's been a few threads and comments on where wts will concentrate their efforts to maintain membership.
it has been suggested that the advent and growth of the net, among other things, has significantly slowed growth in most developed lands.
some of the new style of literature has added to the speculation that less devloped lands present a better opportunity.. .

Last year’s new releases at the convention were for people with limited reading. A clear declaration of intentions.
If they want to learn about the Bible, there are many other religions that wouldn’t be so costly for them in terms of freedom and personal development.

WT and the Illuminati - truth or fiction?
by SnowQueen ini've been reading around this subject of late and it seems to make a lot of sense.
i'm wondering if anyone is convinced and/or has seen anything that can substantiate or corroborate the 'facts' set out in these arguments.. http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/bloodlines/russell.htm.
i was particularly fascinated to read the following:.

Mp, none of us are truly free, that’s the reality of it. Now, do you prefer not being free in the Christian part of the world, or in the non Christian part of the world?
