Q
any new info for us lowly publishers?
do they ever tell or warn you not to discuss the kms with others?
or some of the reasoning and terms they use .

i think the best way to measure how enthusiastic the publishers are is...the number of auxiliary pioneers, especially when there is a "big push" for such.. in any sufficently large population (such as jws), there's always going to be a core of "true believers".
in the jw world, these are the regular pioneers - devoted enough to put their lives on hold & financial security at risk to spend 70 or more hours per month knocking on empty houses & leaving magazines at laundromats & with hapless gas-pumpers.. likewise, there's going to be a group of less active ones, who are in it mainly for social reasons, or because their parents are forcing them.
these ones typically have the stigma of being "low hour publishers" or "spirtually weak" or (horrors!
We have 74 pubs., which means we should have had around 12, we only had 6.
Q
what do you think?
it seems like a lot are there so they won't lose family and friends - are in good standing but don't actually believe.
I concur with DoubtingBro. I think those percentages are pretty accurate.
I recently had a conversation with my mom (a die hard JW, pioneer for the past 30 yrs, had about 30 of her students baptized) about the May 1st QFR and was surprised by her response. She said the newer members of the GB are too young to truly be "annointed" and she feels it's their influence which caused the writing of the article. She then through me for a loop stating that it's a shame that articles such as these give fodder to the opposers of "Jehovah's Organization" and she doesn't appreciate them. So there you go, a die hard JW doesn't believe the newer GB members are truly "annointed" but STILL believes this is "Jah's Org." I guess she falls in that 40% group.

napa wt child abuse case.
two important court decisions, which came out of napa valley, ca, are now available for us to post on jwd.
these significant rulings overturn objections regularly made by the watchtower in recent lawsuits and may serve as a precedent for future lawsuits.

I have been thinking about this topic recently and was wondering if there are any updates?
Q
i was wondering if there are any current regular posters here that are still active , but are mentally inactive and don't believe all the bull anymore, and are just going through the motions to keep their life with friends and family together.. i realize this might be a posting that will probably get 0 replies, but.......
Yes- the ONLY reason is to keep family ties in order. However, it is getting harder to stomach a lot of what the FDS spews. I do hope to be out by year's end for reasons I cannot divulge right now.
Q
education takes yet another battering in the may 1st watchtower.. the mag gives this example:.
young christians today face similar challeges.
matthew, who serves at a branch office of jehovah's witnesses recalls: 'when i began serving as a pioneer, my father was extremely disappointed.
Betterdaze-
I completely agree!! I have always hated how they look down on people living a "normal" life! These words in the Watchtower just show how ABnormal these lame writers are!!
Q
in missouri at a ihop, a lesbian kissed another female (her gf) on the cheek, once while sitting in the restaurant.
the manager went over to the ladies and told them they were not welcomed there and therefore had to leave.
the women described the kiss on the cheek as a similar type of kiss to an "uncle".
I find myself referencing the Sermon on the Mount more and more as I disassociate myself mentally from the "FDS". Matt 7:1,2 "Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgement ye judge, ye shall be judged..."ASV How much better off the world would be if everyone lived by these words! Not only peace of mind each one for him/herself but peace in general. Ghandi was correct.
Q
watch out for the questions from readers in the may 1st 2007 watchtower.
"when does the calling of christians to a heavenly hope cease?
" it's a good'un.. included are the statements:.

Doubting Bro:
Excellent summary of very probable scenarios over the next few years.
As for your #4 point about FDS=GB, I think most of the rank and file already have been conditioned to believe this. How many times don't the elders and C.O.s say in their talks..'the faithful slave tells us...blah, blah, blah?' In essence they mean the Teaching Committee of the GB.
I am so disgusted with this latest revelation. How they can just slip into a QFR article such a major doctrinal change without admitting they were WRONG all along is so indicative of their utter unethical arrogance!
I am sooooo "outa here"!
