I know what you mean. Lately ALL the meetings are unbearable! I actually find myself feeling sick to my stomach as I enter the KH. If my plan goes well, only another 4 months of this hell.

i had my tms tonight.
for those who don't know me, i no longer believe, but have only just begun my slow fade.. the meeting was unbearable.
first there was the brother who happily pointed out that i'd missed two meetings recently and that he was keeping track.

it says they have "just heard"...... brownstoner.com has just heard that real estate investment fund glory capital has purchased a 42-unit apartment building at 6-10 clark st. in brooklyn heights from the watchtower bible and tract society.
a correspondent notes the opportunity presented there: a whole building delivered empty in brooklyn heights!
brownstoner is asking what the property sold for: the answer, as reported in the brooklyn eagle on june 1, is $12.5 million.. .
The fact that they are selling properties during the current real estate slump seems to inidicate that they are hurting for cash. Interesting news indeed.

this is a really good one.
an elder who was serving for more than 30 years, faithfull to the organization at all means, has lost his privelage due to the wt education policy.
the reason was that he allowed his son to study at the university.
Just wait till the 'Members Only" editions of the WT start rolling off the presses. I am sure they will be giving much more "pointed counsel" on the matter of higher education. It will be interesting to see just how far they will take it.

yesterday, thursday, july 26, 2007, a conversation with a street witnessor (isn't that what you would call someone involved in street witnessing?
) got joined by a walk-up elder turned into a great opportunity to witness to several bystanders (who even joined in the conversation).. i began by declining to accept the offer from the elderly woman who held up a "what does god require of us?
i said, "but, verne, you aren't going to the bible.
Excellent job AuldSoul!! It never ceases to amaze me how much my folks and just ate up hook line and sinker when they were studying, mind you both were university students at the time and are quite intelligent.

this is my first post and might be my only post, not sure.
i've chosen to "come out" for a moment just to talk about the 30 minute change in the public talk on sundays.
my father and brother are both elders, this change was a blow to them they enjoy giving encouraging public talks to the friends.
