JWs should take particular note of paragraph 7. How many JWs like to have people come to their door over and over and over and over? Just saying...

Wow more heavy artillery propaganda from the 11/14 WT!!!!!
by BU2B inevery paragraph and every article in this issue is nonstop heavy artillery fire propaganda.
i have never seen a wt so full of logical fallacies, appeals to emotion, appeals to authority, guilt tripping and bite techniques all in one issue!
paragraph 9 states clearly that even though the gb is imperfect, that does not matter, we must obey them anyways.

At least in this paragraph they cite one text. It really is not beyond them anymore to go without citing Scripture.
And the application is: obedience to Christ = obedience to the organization. They really HAVE taken Christ's place, haven't they?

There's a few. Just type in "Watchtower 1930" in Google and look for them.
http://youblisher.com is one, http://wtarchive.svhelden.info is another. There's more.

Is the Watchtower Intentionally Trying to Force People to Leave the Organization?
by kneehighmiah inthe leaks from the new november watchtower are alarming.
they will disturb even longtime jws who haven't surrendered all rational thought.
it's become so cult like its scary.

They will call it a "sifting" or "a refining".
At our DC two or three years ago, Samuel Herd made the comment, quite enthusiastically: "This organization's about to ROCK!" He didn't explain anything about it, but I think we've been seeing some of this ROCKING.

Nov 2014 WT, much about nothing, or is it?

@OneEyedJoe, you are correct... my mistake. Apparently, there's a chart in the Public edition that will be considered that goes through the tree dream of Daniel 4 and rehashes the fabricated "second fulfillment" of that vision, complete with 607 B.C.E.

Londo, thanks for that. I like how you worked this, counting backward. I've seen your video before, so it's a helpful reminder.
Not surprisingly, we have have yet another discrepency. The 1951 WT states the imprisonment was on June 20, 1918 while the Daniel's Prophecy book states June 21, 1918. In this prophecy, even a single day matters.
From December 1, 1914 to 1260 days later brings us to May 14, 1918, over a month prior to imprisonment. The 1951 WT says they appeared in court on May 15, 1918.
From December 31, 1914 to 1260 days later brings us to June 13, 1918, a week or maybe a eight days prior to imprisonment. Still, numbers not adding up.
So evidently, no prophets were harmed in the fulfillment of this prophesy.
LOL!

This is quite the issue of the WT. They double-down on blood transfusions, disfellowshipping, reporting service time, summarize the change in how elders are appointed, etc. It's like they've been monitoring the speculation on this site and decided to shoot down all the speculation in one printing.
... AND bolstered 1914 and 1919 in one felled swoop. In fact, the October KM references this magazine to PROVE 1914. This particular issue seems important. It might behoove us to keep the originals around lest they undergo some revisionist history.

*** w50 7/15 p. 217 par. 3 Postwar Enlargement of the Theocratic Organization ***
So the enemy seized upon it as part of their proof that the Society’s president and other members of the organization closely associated with him were guilty of sedition against the government, and Brother Rutherford and seven others were railroaded off to federal penitentiary in the spring of 1918, under sentences of 80 years in prison, and without benefit of bail for their freedom till appeal to a higher court should be effected. After nine months in the penitentiary bail was granted them on March 21, 1919, and they were released. So, apparently, 3 1/2 days = 9 months. According to other sources, "spring of 1918" = "June 20, 1918" (w51 7/1 p. 409 par. 4) or 274 days. Thus, each "day" of the symbolic 3 1/2 days = 78.28571428571429 literal days.

Publisher Statistics
by lurkernomore ini was watching a couple videos on youtube earlier and always like to peruse the comments at the bottom of the page.. i'm no sure if this has been discussed recently, but one indivdual made the claim that the societies numbers are massively over inflated, as he/she believes that they include inactive, df'd and da'd in their figures.. does anyone have any information to confirm this or i this just another assumption made without evidence?.
(also has anyone heard from witnessmyfury lately?
i had a pm chat with him a few days ago but not had a reply to my latest msgs.

Why does WT publish stats?
Good question, and one I was pondering last night. As we all know, nowhere in the NT is there any command of continually counting publishers, hours, etc. Can we think about a Bible example of someone who decided to do something like that?
Well, Jehovah commanded a census be taken a few times, but they had very specific purposes. However, when David did it, there was no specific purpose stated, except: "so that I may know the number of the people". Why was this a sin? According to WTBTS, it's probably because he was incited by Satan to do so (or, perhaps a "bad human counselor", explains the Insight book, since the word rendered Satan could also mean "a resister"). (1 Chron 21:1) The Insight book further says, "On David’s part, there may have been wrong motive due to pride and trust in the numbers of his army, hence a failing to manifest full reliance on Jehovah. In any case, it is clear that on this occasion David’s chief concern was not that of glorifying God."
Now, who incites WTBTS to take a continual census? And what is the reason for that? Who is WTBTS trusting in to get the preaching work done? Could it be pride in numbers? -

Math has never been a strong suit of WTBTS.
See the Question From Readers on page 30:
"How long did this inspection and cleansing
work take? It extended from 1914 to the early part
of 1919. This period of time includes both the
1,260 days (42 months) and the symbolic three
and a half days referred to in Revelation chapter
11."And the accompanying chart:
Go here and try for yourself:
http://www.timeanddate.com/date/dateadd.html
Or, if you don't want to:
"from 1914" is when? Presumably, October, since that's when they say the Kingdom was born.
Starting with October 1, 1914, adding 1260 days brings us to March 14, 1918.
They view the 42 months (1260 days) as one time period, then another 3 1/2 days (this is symbolic, of course...)
From that, they get to 1914.
In order to do that, the 3 1/2 days would not follow the day for a year principle, otherwise, it would be ANOTHER 1,260 days, by the statement in the paragraph above and the chart on that page, which would bring us to August 25, 1921. But, they are not viewing this second 3 1/2 days as 3 1/2 years. Just what are they viewing it as? Who knows. It's "symbolic". If the 1,260 days is literal, then the 3 1/2 days should be literal, too, right? Oh, wait... WTBTS mixes up literal and symbolic/figurative whenever it suits them. But, let's say they are literal. This would make the full period of the 1,260 days plus 3 1/2 days equal to 1263.5 days which brings us to sometime on March 17, 1918.
There is NO WAY to get from 1914 to 1919 using the math in Revelation 11.
Am I wrong? Is my math off?
