The Reasoning Book is Inspired
by Thirdson inthat is what 2 jw ladies who came to my door recently told me..
to start at the beginning, periodically, these ladies have called and spoken to mrs thirdson but always on a week day.
mrs thirdson is always very polite and has accepted the mags saying that i might be interested in reading them but making it clear that we are christians and not interested in joining their religion.

I suspect you are using Firefox as your browser. You need to un-check the HTML formatting box and check the "Automatic Cr/Lf" box at the bottom of this reply window.
That should out out your links and the formatting in your replies.
Either that or switch to Internet Explorer for JWD. I only use IE for JWD because it lets you use the smilies and the quotation boxes and automaticallty embeds YouTube links

I have to disagree re 80s music!
However I will concede that music was so eclectic then that it was very difficult to pigeon hole and left you in a real quandary if you wanted to "belong to a scene"
I gave up trying and just accepted that I liked lots of different stuff - i still do.
Again I'll concede that the fashions weren't exactly timeless LOL
It was also the era of the synthesizer which meant lots of experimentation and very fast progression. Inevitably that left some sounds quickly going out of fashion and/or being over used.
Anyone remember these - probably not US posters . . .

Yep I agree 1914 will go - but very quietly and probably using the ploy of simply ceasing to mention it.
I think that they may stop mentioning it in the next 10 years but it may be as late as 2034 before the say something like
"Many brothers have in the past thought that 1914 marked the invisible return of Christ. However the evidence seems to suggest that it would be presumptuous to make such a statement. Gods faithful servants KNOW that Christ has indeed returned and is reigning. The exact date of his return is not of any great significance and is not something we should be preoccupied with"

Awake magazine disappears. WT only produces one principle book to study with new converts before baptism and The Watchtower (which becomes monthly). All other publications cease.
Blood totally matter of conscience. I can see it now . . .

Although posting on a blog is a matter of opinion (is the MySpace in her real name) it's exactly that - a blog.
However isn't spanking a kid outlawed these days and especially for something like joining in a party.
It's about time someone let these people know that there are rules everyone has to live by.
