  Food Boxes given out by Society

  anyone else get a food box delivered by local congregation to your door - allegedly by the society?

  weird.

  i looked online and found a couple of youtube channels saying the society is taking food from food banks and giving it only to their congregations.

  true. I think also Rutherford referred to Jesus as Jehovah's master henchman. I think part of the problem is that the new testament speaks of God's coming wrath and in a non Preterist scheme that easily becomes part of the gospel

  Fun anecdote to JW executioners; the idea of Christians executing judgments on a mortal population in a literal Millenium reign is a speciality of certain dispensationalist groups. In the eighties/nineties some Evangelicals started to bring the gospel to hard heavy metal. Perhaps the most shocking band back then was "Vengeance Rising". One of their songs "Among The Dead" included these lyrics:

  "Awaiting the hour preparing for war To slay the deniers of Christ Until that day, invite them Come and be one with us in Christ"

  Not all were happy with those lyrics. They experienced to be pulled off Christian bookstores several times because of their covers and perhaps also such lyrics

  I'm sure there are bad people of all colors. Some have big power over other people, others small power. Experiences of racism happens in many multicultural contexts. David K. Bernard, leader in the UPC sect/church and famous Oneness preacher, is a white man who grew up in South Korea. His childhood experiences includes korean kids spitting on him and throwing stones at him for being different. I am sure that as we speak even some white kid is being bullied and worse by kids of other colors somewhere in the world

  It seems the Africans were not able to compete with whitey when he came along. They were compared to whitey low tech and unorganised. They could probably teach the white man how to live of the land, what food and animals to grow and what to avoid, but that was not what whitey was looking for. Currently we have the situation in the US where the blacks (of course generally speaking) are much more criminal than the whites (12% of the US population are responsible for 50% of the murders, which is utterly shocking) and significantly less educated and productive (again generally speaking, we have white retards and a black Neil Degrasse). We can see what happened to South Africa after black man took over, not good. Currenly US blacks want to import the South African violence it seems. Then we have the whitey cultural marxism saying blame their inability on whitey, wow that is racism both ways

  I have always had a moderate and relative white pride. Of course my understanding of all humans being flawed and fallen keep it from going overboard ☺️. But in many ways white people have been the flawed light of the world. It was bad to enslave black people but it also opened a world of technology and culture to them that they had likely not achieved themselves

  How Could We Have Been So Heartless?

  i am addressing here those who, like me, spent decades in the organisation that we called “the truth”.

  perhaps like me you were brought up in it from an early age.

  looking back now i wonder that i could have been so heartless as to believe that the mass slaughter of billions of people was “good news”.

  Armegeddon in JWism is a bit like the bombing of Dresden. Terrible and worst Day in your life but there is an end to it. Other spins on faith have the same combined with eternal torment and probably think the unbelievers get off way too easy in jw land. No Jonathan Edwards preaching here ☺️. For outsiders it might be difficult to understand why some ex JWs consider it so dreadful. Probably because of effective propaganda to the JW kids. A more mature soul who has pondered upon all mankind's evil is not as easily frightened by this brand of end time fears. As slimboyfat says, many believers believe God will be more mercyful than their religion perscribes 😊

  Is Anyone Happy That Police Forces Are Being Abolished or scut??

  in minneapolis, the city council has voted to abolish the police.. many cities want to either disband or defund the police.

  black lives matter and other groups have influenced citizens and neighborhoods to get rid of police and their authority.

  is anyone really supportive of removing the police or cutting out law enforcement through the budget?
