The ransom makes no sense
by BourneIdentity inif mankind needed to be redeemed from sin and death, why didn't the redemption happen as soon as jesus successfully lived his entire life without sin and sacrificed his life?
if he was successful, the price was paid and we'd all be living forever.
it's all bullshit, or jesus fucked up and sinned, so it nullified his sacrifice.

Cufty you need to brush up on your punch lines. We are to hate evil just as God hates sin and other evils ☺️. -

How did Adam know what a sword was?
by phoenixrising inso if the bible is the inspired word of god and i don't believe it is by any stretch, how did adam when he was kicked out of the garden of eden know what a spinning sword was?
did adam invent swords?
more bible non sense garbage.

I throw in the suggestion that the angels had merch that Moses would later identify as a sword. But since it is a symbolic account recorded by Moses, I dont think real time matters 😁. The sword symbolises the separation from God just like in Luke 16 and making necessary the ransom at-one-ment

No it was as I remember a site with scholary papers by Furoli, Stafford and the like trying to defend JW doctrine. I doubt it was GB endorsed, so maybe they pulled the plug

Cofty, thou ever hostile high priest of atheism. I despise Christian apolegetics and philosophy nearly as much as I do the human race ☺️🤭

Truth be known, yes there were literal floods and they surely had some bearing on the story. But if local flood, why did God not say leave these lands like in the exodus? I think context points to a global flood in this allegory but I respect the endevours of the local flood thinking

Adam did not write the Bible. The Hebrew word simply means cutting instrument. I doubt God is subject to human development of swords 🤭

Is God responsible for all the evil is a bit like the egg and hen talk. I read about the sick stuff that went in the horrible execution of Damiens, the renecide. He was teared apart with hot pincers and horses while the nobility was laughing. Some people had paid big sums to get close. Some were masturbating or having intercourse turned on by the spectacle. Chunks of his flesh was sold and eaten. Apart from being so directly gross we can say humans are not that brave. Therefore the vast majority of humans would serve and obey cruel dictators like the Germans did Hitler. I dont share the atheists worship of the shitty human race. But God has a plan with our wretched hides. Incredible really
