One important thang in Bible reading is audience relevance. We may believe the Bible is written for us but it certainly isnt written to us. We are reading someone elses mail. Whatever the Bible says we have to remember the original audience. I am not sure Russell / Rutherford / Miller etc paid attention in audience relevance class

How do JWs view the Ransom?

Yes LV 101, much was changed by Rutherford but you have to go into details to understand it. In Russell's view most of mankind was not spiritually mature, did not receive enough light or were alert enough to "run for the high calling" / 144,000. There was a secondary heavenly class too. The ransom allowed the majority to get their chance in the millennium / golden age freed from the sin of Father Adam. Only a small number was in Russell's view so bad that God would not allow them that chance. So a lot of change

One of the early things I noted early was way off is the Russell/Rutherford notion that the grand judgment does not concern deeds in this life but deeds the non144,000 do in an afterlife idealistic school. that is very clearly contradicted in 2 cor 5:10 and heb 9:27 and of course the millennium in Revelation 20 contains no such school. It is quite amazing the followers accepted this alternation of the Bible record

Yes they screwed up the story, especially the wicked Rutherford. It is clear pre fallen Adam and Eve lived by obedience and did not have knowledge of good and evil. The agenda behind making them perfect is equally clear

Does Anybody Here Sympathize With The Looters That Cause Destruction?
by minimus ini realize some here are diehard democrats.
whether you are democrat, republican or independent, do you support any of these looters that cause mayhem and destruction for their cause?
i have heard some people sympathize with these law breakers saying they understand why they do what they do and leave it at that.. of course i wonder how they would feel if their own property was burnt or stolen or destroyed..

I support the proper use of force to bring rioters and looters to their knees and to justice

I remember Romans 6:7 is used a lot. Russell believed that almost anyone would be raised to a first real chance of obtaining life along with many of the fallen angels thanks to the ransom setting the record straight. Few exceptions were some truly bad guys and Satan himself, his post millenium rebellion is seen as evidence of his true badness. Rutherford added many to the no list, such as Adam and Eve, those who refused JW (the judgment of the sheep and goats in his view) JWs that did not endure under persecution and those who died by God's hand in Bible times, such as pharaoh and his drowned army

When you think about it, it is a little funny how humans work. Regardless of what the historical man Jesus believed about the story, it has no relation to the gospel and most Christians probably havent even heard about the story. But in a modern Bible religion, it becomes important to determine how it took place☺️
