  Longhairgal,

  Christadelphians are still around. I dont think they ever counted many. I was baptized Christadelphian less than 10 years ago. My stay was short as I was recruted by hardliners and quickly felt trapped.

  Yes if only JWs count for Christians, then there is not that much to write home about. I wonder if muslims treat the JWs different, as they dont believe in trinity or worship Jesus. In the case of Russia, I would say that was pretty bad, if it is true the JWs were tortured.

  on february 21, 2020, the wt society made the announcement in their website of the release of the new world translation in modern hebrew (hebrew scriptures - "tanakh") in haifa, israel.

  now, the complete nwt is available in modern hebrew.. some time ago, a poster here said that releasing (in theory, i.e.

  ) the hebrew bible in a modern version, such as the nwt, would be irrational.

  JWs are proud of communicating in many languages. It does not have to make much sense. Maybe they can say to the Israelis hey we dont worship Jesus either 🤭. In similar vein JWs may collect bibles with the name Jehovah in for no other purpose 🤭. I remember my old as aunt saw me buy an old.bible. "Is the name of Jehovah in it?" "No but the name of Jesus is 😘". She knew we were fading 😄

  my wife and i are not religious nor do we want to be.

  we are very set in our spiritual beliefs.

  we have worked with a jw who's family have been like a part of our family for 6 years.

  If they are believing in the absolute truth of JW, it is to them a matter of life and death to get you all in Jehovah's "saving arc". Find the time to have a eye to eye conversion with them. Express your gratitude for what they have done for you but also tell them they are not allowed to take the kids to Kingdom hall or give them JW litterature. They may get offended but much is at stake ☺️

  i was thinking about this at work the other day, and realized the one positive thing i can truly credit the jws with: .

  i have no fear of public speaking.

  i was a shy kid, fat, clumsy, with crooked glasses and worse teeth, who wore hand-me-downs in one of the wealthiest counties in all of america, who sat still while classmates got up to salute the flag or recite the pledge of allegiance.

  That is good you just wanted to serve. I do think my parents saw a lot of abuse and special treatment of people by the elders. My mother was in opposition and it ended with an elder asking her to step into a small room in the kingdom hall where she claimed she got yelled at for the entire service. My father for some odd reason did not go look for her (well he was odd). But after that incident my mother no longer wanted to attend. I do remember my father expressed he was not allowed to think for himself. They thought this movement was based on a truth foundation but they were wrong. Both were woefully ignorant of the whole creation story of Russellism etc. My father knew more though. My parents visited the US in the 90s or so and there my mother saw something new to her that my father knew about; existing Bible student groups preaching on campus. In my mother's mind, it was very important "the truth" was not divided
