i was thinking about this at work the other day, and realized the one positive thing i can truly credit the jws with: .

i have no fear of public speaking.

i was a shy kid, fat, clumsy, with crooked glasses and worse teeth, who wore hand-me-downs in one of the wealthiest counties in all of america, who sat still while classmates got up to salute the flag or recite the pledge of allegiance.

JW old books and mags selling hot on ebay

so i have an eye out for a couple of the more nefarious jw books from the past.

i look on ebay etsy and others.

i see that the older books are selling for a good price.

I remember we had a cute little library in our Kingdom hall that would sometimes be used as an extra room during theocratic school. No idea what books they had but i do remember a curious old Bible map with a dinosaur on 🤭

I had Salvation too but tossed it all out. The Biblestudent groups still sell the Russell books

But true as Ses Breeze, JWs have not come to terms with own demise. A combination of theological positions gave/give them the grotesque hope that they will never die of old age. I think my parents lost all hope when they gradually after 1975 realized the wts did not have "the truth"

Some people fear this some that. When the enemy soldiers come, it is usually bad news for the civilians. Years ago many people feared a nuclear bomb immensely but against all odds it never happened yet. Climate change, overpopulation the bad things have many names. I remember my father forced himself to drink sour milk by exclaiming how yummy it was. I have some funny sad images in my head of dad sticking some milk bottle in my mother's face to determine if it was fresh. She got tired of it but perhaps he could not determine himself. Yummy yummy he said while drinking it. That is probably how he survived as child. Some deal with old age the same way. I am comforted by being clay in the master's hand and a child of Jesus. Our life situation is as it is but it is how we deal with the situation.

Russia

the interesting part was that it was the financial crimes agency that taking the actions.

which would fit orphan crows posts that the persecution in russia was triggered by the watchtower liquidating assets and taking the money out of russia in violation of russian monetary laws profibitating the removal of money out of russia.

Do you believe the Bible is the inspired word of God ?

if you answer yes to that question ,may i ask which bible are you referring to ?

and why would god have a different number of bible books for different parts of the world.?.

is he partial to different ethnic groups ?.

If you are a robot 🤖, the Bible is of no use. The topic is salvation of souls. There was an early covenant relation symbolised by Adam and Eve. I think the serpent was an awesome snake like a green mamba ☺️

They did not care about science, they cared about their covenant with God. It is a modern American heresy that some want to prove the Bible to unbelievers by it containing teachings valued and in play much later in time, such as scientific ideas about origin of lions, snakes etc. It is heretical to consider the Holy Bible a textbook on microbes
