If Paradise is in heaven why does Jesus need to come again?
If people go to heaven when they die does the world still need to end, does there still need to be a resurrection?
i don't mean for anyone to get into argument over this, i just want to hear what people believe.i hope that no one will mock or argue with someone else about their beliefs, i know that i won't in this topic.. i still believe in a christian god, not what jws believe, but believe that there has to be something after this life.
i am not sure about how armageddon would go, would it be like how evangelicals believe with a rapture or timing or anything, though i still believe in a form of armageddon.
i do think that all good people will go to heaven but i don't believe in a hell.

i'm sure i am not the only one to have heard this come out of the mouths of my loved ones.
it's a very painful thing to hear, especially when it comes from the people like your own parents/family.
even after i've been told that, they would say "we'll just continue life without you.
....continued:
(there is no historical, geological & archaeological evidence to suggest that a global Flood actually occurred)

How can there be Armageddon when God made the following promises after the Flood?
Genesis 8:2:
"And when the Lord smelled the pleasing odor, the Lord said in his heart, “I will NEVER AGAIN CURSE THE GROUND because of man, for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; NEITHER WILL I EVER AGAIN DESTROY EVERY LIVING CREATURE as I have done."
Genesis 9:9-17:
God also made an unconditional covenant with Noah that he will never again destroy the earth by means of a flood (Genesis 9:11).
It is an “everlasting covenant,”
between God and Noah, and every generation after him (Genesis 9:12).
God promised to keep this covenant, regardless of what man would subsequently do, regardless of whether man would subsequently continue to sin (hence unconditional
covenant). It is a covenant not only between God and Noah, but between God and every living creature.
thought i'd start a separate discussion on the subject.. those who know me know i'm struggling with faith; i want to believe, some days i do but it becomes difficult.. many believers say there is verifiable proof of jesus' existence outside of the bible.. please post this proof..
Thank you for the references.--------Half banana
I’m adding one more reference regarding the origin of the Adam & Eve myth, as it comes with audio – Unsure commented in another thread, that he/she is pressed for time to do research, so he/she can listen to this reference while doing other things if he/she so desires:

Why would a global genocide be appropriate just because a deity says so?
The people whom ISIS is slaughtering to the horror of everyone, including JW’s, would also be slaughtered by God (according to Watchtower) if God were to bring Armageddon right now.
God is about to carry out an act that, should a human carry it out, it would be considered a terrible atrocity.

It's frustrating in the event that it is actually all true and we must believe even if the Bible is all there is-------Unsure
Before you become frustrated have you thoroughly, unequivocally proven to yourself beyond the shadow of a doubt that the Bible is true, that it is the inspired word of God?
However, to be saved from Adamic Sin and have a hope for eternal life, I have to believe in the Deity of Jesus. Hardly seems fair. Very depressing and frustrating.-----------Unsure
Would you be worried about belief in Jesus if there was no such thing as eternal life?
Would you be worried about Adamic sin if you knew that the story of Adam, Eve and the snake is derived from ancient Sumerian and Babylonian mythology?
The Hebrews borrowed, adapted, reworked, reinterpreted, reformatted the "Enuma Elish" Mesopotamian myth to create their own Adam & Eve creation story. Similar stories were current among the Greeks, the Egyptians, and the Persians. The Hindoos had a "tree of life," which was said to be guarded by spirits, and contained a juice that was thought to impart immortality to those who partook of it.
According to Genesis 3:17-19 only Adam and Eve were cursed. There is no mention in Genesis or in the other books of the OT of an extension of the curse to Adam and Eve's children and later descendants . There is also no mention of "the Fall" in the remaining chapters of Genesis or in the other books of the OT. So the early Jews did not interpret the Adam and Eve story as something with universal implication. The story was understood either as allegory or an ancient tragedy.

There is no Armageddon to come.
The bible likens the coming of Armageddon (Jesus' second coming) to the Flood of days of Noah's day (Matthew 24:37-39).
There was NO FLOOD, so there is no Armageddon!

If you are able to get a copy of the publication: Your Will Be Done On Earth, 1958 you can show your JW family from this publication that one of the WT's famous teachings about the Armageddon was that the USSR would be in existence when Armageddon strikes........where is the USSR today?.......you can't take the WT's claim about Armageddon seriously.

Tell your JW family that you find the concept of dying at Armageddon to be rather weird.
Non-JWs who are alive when Armageddon strikes will be destroyed. However by dying BEFORE Armageddon a non-JW will be resurrected. So it's best to die BEFORE Armageddon and not at Armageddon since those who die before will be resurrected.
Non-JWs should just get a head start by taking their own lives........not to mention JWs who are guilty of disfellowshipping offences who are alive when Armageddon strikes versus those disfellowshipped JWs who die before Armageddon.

Also, tell your JW family members that you will like to make a bet with them that they will die before Armageddon comes.
