Does anyone here dream about demons?
by not bitter ini do, every few months and the dreams are terrifying.
i had one last night and the demons grabbed me as usual and instead of shouting out big j's name like i usually do in these dreams (not out loud mind you) i shouted instead ''get away from me satan'' ha!.
i don't believe in either but obviously my fear of demons growing up as affected my subconscious into adulthood (i'm 40).

Once when i was a teenager a friend of mine and I were driving over the Rio Grande and saw what appeared to be headlights under the water. We stopped to get a better look and got out of his pickup. We soon saw the lights approaching us. we saw a phantasmesque figure flying toward us so we jumped in the truck and drove away. For a few nights I had terrifying dreams about it. I have been compelled to go to whatever river I live by to investigate. Last week I had a dream about it and was again compelled TWICE to walk along the Kings River here near my home. Both nights I heard shrieks and other scary sounds. I take my pistol with me, not so much to fire at an apparition but in case I find a danger from THIS SIDE.
I have also had a recurring dream since I was a kid. being cut apart by dark, faceless figures. So disturbing and terrifying.

My wife's brother, the middle one. He was always getting into fights, screwing the young sisters and basically being a teenager. Well he grew up and married a real shrew and went from lazy pioneer on welfare and foodstamps to working two jobs and becoming an elder to please the shrew and satisfy her materialistic and selfish ways. Now he poo poos on anyone not sitting where he commands them to in the hall. Oh, they also hid her infidelity from the congregation. She screwed her boss.

guilt tripping isn't working!

he asked me how i was doing and i smiled real big and told him i was doing wonderful!!!
he was completely confused because i think i was supposed to be feeling bad and guilty for not going out in service and feeling like the wrath of jehovah was upon me.

little things that make you see the "truth" about this religion
by lostinthought ini had tears in my eyes at work today.
there was an arbor day celebration and some teenagers had some speeches and they planted a tree...most people would not be as touched by the events today as i was but one of the women recieving an award said that she was proud of these children because they were doingsomething good for the communtiy...and i was proud of them too, but i was sad for jw's who would think these children are "bad" just because they are not witnesses...or the jw who would not let their children associate with these teenagers or even be part of a "wordly" club..that's what made me sad, all those years i missed looking at the little beautiful things in life in a positive light and not the negative debbie downer way jw's look at things..

Is it me or is that ewatchman guy way too negative?
by Inisc inhas everyone heard of him, robert king?.
i occasionally have a look on his site, at times when im not sure what i believe.
i'm sliding towards atheism but i'm not completely sure either way.. the more reading i do of things of a scientific nature, the more i edge towards no god, but i like to analyse both sides of an idea.. anyway, whenever i read anything on kings website, it just seems he is a bit of doomsday cultist himself, i mean he has all these links to conspiracy sites, and all manner of negative scary articles about nuclear war and famine etc.

I'm not a camper. I don't see the point in pretending you are homeless
by wha happened? ini used to camp alot as a kid.
i was in cub scouts and boy scouts.
dad and i went to lot's of camping trips.

My wife HATES camping and anything to do with the outdoors if it does not have shade and margaritas and a King Sized Bed. So.....I had not been camping in over twenty years. Well right around 30 year high school reunion time I reconnected with an old buddy and bandmate. He invited me camping in the mountains east of Bakersfield on the Kern River. BEST TIME I had in ages! Felt good to not have any comfort! WEIRD HUH!
