It's a matter of the heart, not the eyes.
That could be taken as meaning ignore your eyes in favor of a warm feeling

Your world views involve God using hidden messages, cryptic riddles and secret code words. A sober minded secular view sees the texts as sectarian responses to social injustice with creative use and reuse of metaphor. I enjoy a puzzle as much as most, but I'm also going to look at the 'big picture' on the box.

My point was that the author of the gospel recension later named Luke possibly drew from both Tobit and Psalms of Solomon as an explanation for the decades of delay.

You mock those who mistook books like Tobit as inspired? Kettle black my friend -

Ecclesiastes 9:5 -"the dead know nothing at all"
by aqwsed12345 inthe narrator of the book of ecclesiastes had very little knowledge of many things that jesus and his apostles later preached.
the author does not make statements, but only wonders (thinks, observes, often raises questions, and leaves them open).
he looked at the world based on the law of moses and found nothing but vanity, as the earthly reward promised in the law did not always accompany good deeds and earthly punishment for evil deeds.

It's almost as if beliefs about the dead were evolving over time as the Jews were exposed to other cultures. Imagine that.

I'm not going to attempt to argue what books of the Jews were "inspired" or not. What I will suggest is recognizing that books like Tobit and Baruch and Psalms of Solomon were widely distributed and regarded as equal to books such as Daniel. As such they contribute much to understanding idiom and religious development. Ignoring the majority of written evidence will surely lead to erroneous conclusions. -

Tobit 13:5
He will afflict you for your iniquities, but will have mercy on all of you.
He will gather you from all the nations
among whom you have been scattered. ... all who are prisoners.14:5 God will again have mercy on them and bring them back to the land of Israel. They will build the house again, but it will not be like the first until the appointed times will be completed.
Psalms of Solomon 2:19
For the nations reviled Jerusalem, trampling her down.
Luke 21:24
They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. -
