Churches are free to be racist, bigoted and sexist if they want. They can even mock and insult the handicapped.

UNITED NATIONS
by JohnTron7 inwell, i wanted to write again and see if anyone else out there is more agreeable now with what i have posted on here for a few years and often scoffed at (did get one maybe).
since my older post were pulled except for one 5 months ago, how many now would agree with the escalating backlash of lgbtq laws and pro lgbtq supporters now flooding every form of media, who now will agree that it will not be the united nations that bring about the turn of government against religions but, instead the record number of lgbtq lawmakers in the senate that will enevitatily cause the turn against religion?
jesus said the last days will be like the days of noah and that would mean badness everywhere because of the offspring children (nephalim).

Common sense on Jockland's gender Bill
by LoveUniHateExams innicola sturgeon's daft plan to introduce a gender bill which allows anyone aged 16 and over to legally change gender without a doctor's diagnosis of gender dysphoria has rightly been stopped by pm rishi sunak.. under the rules of devolvement, the uk government can overrule holyrood if the pm so chooses.. lots of predictable howling form the scotch nuts, with ridiculous claims that rishi is trying to organise a fight with holyrood.
of course, it's actually the other way round - the snp has been trying to pass this gender bill in order to drive a wedge between scotland and the rest of the uk.. sensibly, rishi has pulled rank on sturgeon and stopped her nonsense.. nicola sturgeon needs to know her place ....

it would be interesting to see the rates for sexual abuse, and what proportion of trans inmates are in there for sex crimes
What is 'interesting' is the rates of assault against trans people. Nearly 1 in 2 will be assaulted in their lifetimes as compared to the also horrific stat that 1 in 5 sis women will be. 1 in 71 sis men will be.

Staying in physically for all the benefits
by Indoubtbigtime ini wonder how many are like me staying pimo for the great association and gathering etc.
also find it very interesting having a front row seat watching the collapse of borg.. im not wasting any more time or money on anything i don’t want to do like preaching and mostly just go on zoom .
there is nothing i want to do that would be considered disfellowshiping sin, i’m married and want to live by bible principles but i have serious doubts that the gb were chosen by god and are his one and only spokesmen on earth.

PIMOs, I bet your families are aware of what you think is concealed. They probably talk about it among themselves and with Elders. They may not want to press the issue for fear of losing you. Sometimes silence is best, but lying and pretending corrodes trust and intimacy, and isn't that why we have relationships? -

My nephew now identifies as a woman. She's the same caring intelligent person, just now acting and looking like she always felt she should have. She's not a pervert or rapist. She left the WT because of bigoted comments like these.

Ironically, Sea Breeze. I mostly agree with you. It's actually the position of many derided as Jesus Mythers. Xtian origins are proposed to have been from visions of a purely spirit hypostasis fulfilling descriptions among a set of Hellenized Jews. The conviction of a son of God/ son of man descending from the highest heavens to either a low level of heaven or earth to be killed on a tree by the dark forces of evil. I'd certainly describe this as a high Christology. Paul seems to have had his own visions or adaptations, perhaps he was the one who connected this death on a tree to Roman crucifixion, maybe his innovation was simply the full abandonment of the Jewish codes.
It was soon later overlain with a narrative of human existence using OT midrash for most every detail. The conclusion of being crucified typical of many would-be messiahs of the time.

Research paper on Effects of Shunning
by peacefulpete inafter being around this site for 21 years now, i've heard many recount their stories and feelings.
many times i can immediately relate but other times they seem to have had a very different experience with the church.
i'm sure that is because not only are all of us different in personality, but congregations and family dynamics vary as well.

On another thread I reminded readers that Paul spoke of himself as having been fated before birth to be the instrument of God. Narcissism is pretty typical of high level religious leaders. Even among those not having visions or hearing voices. For most the role comes gradually, if after offering advice or opinion people respond with respect and admiration, it becomes a drug for some. The blinding belief that you know best naturally leads to condemning contrary views.
I agree with both those who hesitate to attribute coldly nefarious motives but also agree that the efforts to control thinking are systemic. IMO, the analogy to addiction works on many levels, lots of addicts are also dealers.

The self identification numbers suggest to me there are millions of miserable people on the outside believing they are failures or unworthy. This enduring control is a primary reason the religion is dangerous.

The paper was brief and sample was small so of course it has it's limits in describing the experience of a larger set of people. The article still illustrates the variety of negative effects. Myself and my wife, we had the pain of losing some family but also the joy of reuniting with others. Intellectually it was a liberating experience overall. For some, obviously the world seems to be a scary place, and they struggle to embrace it's realities.

where did I first hear these words together?
by enoughisenough infor many years the only place i heard the words " new world order" together or the words "new system" were in the meeting talks or maybe we endeavored to explain them to people we witnessed to.
i just find it interesting that the worldly institutions are using the same word terms.
i just saw an article of some 5 points that came out of this last davos meeting, and all five of these points were using the term "new system" in the changes they want to force mankind into .i am wondering what is the likelihood of the most powerful people on earth borrowing words from a "hated" religion.
