Tornintwo - that tactic works the other way around, that is a hubby that has awoke trying to engage his wife. This is the approach I took for my wife. She hasn't woke up, but she sees how good of s husband I am and admits it was after my epiphany about "the truth" it happened. Now she defends me and even though I live "still in" I miss 50%+ meetings, never go in service and enjoy life with my family.

As damming as this issue will be directly, I think an even bigger problem for the WTS is just the light shining on them in the global media arena.
JWs will see this as persecution, but the WTS has always said the wild beast would turn on Babylon the great first and then they would all notice the JWs over there still preaching and then come after them.
this shouldn't be represented as a trigger to the GT since it doesn't fit the chronology of old.
HOWEVER this recent Assyrian attack teaching and coalition of nations has been situated perfectly by the WTS to lend scriptural legitimacy to this "persecution"
how ironic they have sunk so low that the true organization is not attacked for their faith but rather for their neglectful policies on child abuse

just the act of an atheist expressing his beliefs is an act of intolerance to the religious one.
It's a double standard. The religious people can push their beliefs on everyone and we must respect it, yet the atheist is deemed to not have beliefs and thus not deserve the same regard

How many of the 1.006 alleged abusers will be investigated by Police?
by Listener inthe commission has the names of 1,006 alleged abusers within australian congregations since 1950. some will have died and others will already have been prosecuted but the branch did not report any of these allegations to police.. the terms of reference for the royal commission is more about redress for the victims but that can include criminal prosecution although they are more focused on financial compensation.. however, now that they have the names of 1,006 potential criminals there is some responsibility to see that they are dealt with criminally.
it appears to be in their authority to have cases followed through by referring them for further investigation.
this is clear because the commissioner has recently reported that to date, they have done so in 493 cases identified within the scope of their commission.

July Broadcast Denies That JW Children Die Rather Than Have Medical Care
by BluesBrother inanthony morris 3rd delivered the broadcast this month and advised that lies are circulated that they let children die rather than have medical care .
he says this is so inaccurate as to be a boldfaced lie ...... further he says it is "up to the parents to determine what would be the best treatment for their children" .
now, does this mean that parents are really free to make a decision to accept blood for their minor child, if they so choose?

A difficult yet necessary decision
by Brother Jeramy inthe past five weeks have been perhaps the most painful in my life as a witness.. some months ago a young man (i'd say in his late thirties or early forties) began attending meetings at my kingdom hall.
he had just moved to my area from another state.
he had disassociated himself from his home congregation many years back, when he was 20 years old and going through many of the typical trials and temptations most young men experience.. two of the elders met with him initially, and they later shared the details with the body of elders.

that line of reasoning was almost a bait and switch. Jesus accepted these ones and forgave them IF they repented. He never "celebrated" their wrongdoing. JW's will accept these people if they repent and align with their own teachings.
I am not saying JW's are right about everything, but attacking the JW's for not "celebrating" or accepting these types of people and equivocating this to Christ's forgiveness of such ones are two different things.
I have to admit, considering the game you played that elder did quite well. Better than most would have
