Sounds just like the Pharisees that Jesus saw standing in the street, looking up to heaven and saying 'Thank God I'm not like these sinners!'
Jesus didn't think that much of them....
damn!
how can you go around telling people that!
?.

i rarely watch fox news.
but i do read the drudge report every day.
on drudge, there are tons of newspaper links which i typically read from..
Usually BBC news on TV. No newspapers but if there's something interesting I'll read articles online from news sites like the Guardian.
i know anyone who believes in evolution is going to say that there is no 'if' about it.
however.... if man evolved over hundreds of thousands of years ago, why were there only about 200-300 million people alive 2,000 years ago?
surely there'd have been many billions by then?.
Thanks for all your answers everyone, they've been very interesting to read and some good explanations
Thanks especially to Randy for your in depth answer, you make some thought provoking points and I really appreciate the gracious way you've put your points over and for not making me feel stupid a time waster for asking the question.
Vidot, you make some good points about christianity.

Cofty, I'm not asking for help and I'm not dismissing answers. I'm merely interested to find out what others think and expressing what I think, that's all. It doesn't mean that I'm not going to continue finding the answers for myself.
Since I discovered TTATT my head has been full of questions and I've been reading all sorts of different things on various subjects. I come across books or articles alluded to on here and spend hours reading them. It's just that the more I read the more questions there are. About everything!
I just thought this was an intriguing question when I stumbled across something and wanted to know what you guys had to say about it.

I will read up about it, I was just interested to know what ones on here have to say about it. Do I not have the right to ask? Different people will have different thoughts on both sides of the arguement. I'm not interested in 'showing up' anyone... why would I want to do that?
It doesn't matter to me whether someone believes something different to me. In fact I find it fascinating that everyone will have different ideas on all subjects. That's why this place is so awesome.

Look at the chart, it goes from 500,000 years to 10,000, from then on it goes up by 1,000 years at a time. So you expect me to believe that from 500,000 years to 10,000 years the population didn't grow at all?
Death by infected teeth doesn't cut it, sorry....
