had a thought, yeah i know they come every now and then, of how it is that the wt really feeds the sheep, they are all captive in a pen and the gb is shoveling manure to feed them and they are eating it up only to get indigestion, and yet they want more of it, seems to me that after eating a lifetime of bs from the gb one would wtfu.

is it just me or does it seem like there are more posts about shunning than usual?.
i take it that between the ex jw's and the internet the jw's are having a hard time holding on to their people.

regarding what some have said here about the wt being a false prophet.. i would like to make my point regarding the wt not being a false prophet... so please, if you can be patient enough to read this, at least try to understand what i am getting at.. a false prophet is one who, according to deuteronomy, makes a false prediction of the future and claims that the prediction came from god, or in other words claiming that 'god has said he will do a certain thing at a certain time' etc.. for example, hypothetically speaking, if someone had claimed: "god will bring about the end of the world in 2010", they would have been proven to be a false prophet, obviously.
but, as an example, imagine a man who claimed the position of a prophet of god, (as moses did, because although he was not the type of prophet that predicted the future.. he was still a prophet or spokesman for god) and that he had publicised worldwide, according to his interpretation of a (for example) prophecy found in the book of isaiah, that the world would end in 2010.. and he had also stated that he was not saying that god will end the world in that year.. but only that there was biblical evidence that god might do so.
that would clearly have been a mistake.

what i propose is to post youtube links to a favourite song and give a brief description and maybe why i liked it.. please feel free to comment and add your own video clips.. i missed out on all the glam of the 80s rock videos as it was considered too worldly to watch for a good jw teenager.. all genres are good but my particular favourite style was the new romantiscism artists.. to start this thread off the first video was made in 1979 ( blown it already i hear you say)no this song set the theme of what was to come in the next decade.. "video killed the radio star"- the buggles 1979. .

This was the first real rock band i got into. Again a Sydney band that had alot of meaning in their songs.This song still dear to my heart bemoans the destruction of old buildings (heritage) for the sake of modern progress. True of now as well as back in the 80's .Sydney suburbs are turning into concrete jungles.
