  i wonder if penton's book referenced the german version of it.

  Mrs Ozzie has recently been given a book on a similar theme to read. It's entitled "Facing the Lion" by Simone Arnold Liebster.

  I believe it's very popular amongst the 'in crowd' amongst Witnesses downunder.

  Not a very nice place for Mia to break into, is it?

  BTW, nelly, you refer in your link to an article by David Chandler. He presents a view, but it is just one view, of modern Cambodian history. He differs from some other historians in some of his interpretations.

  Personally I prefer the more scholarly historian Ben Kiernan.

  I didn't intend contributing here 'cos I thought I didn't have anything to say, but now I must reveal that one concern I have is that all things must pass and there'll be a time when the interaction with one of my fave individuals, that ole grumblestiltskin, will be gone.

  Ian (Dansk) in hospital with CMV

  hi, everyone ---.

  claire asked me to let the board know that ian is back in the hospital and expected to be there for about a week.. those of you who have been following the weekly vigil thread know that his cmv has returned.

  the virus is not responding adequately to the tablets, so ian needs to be medicated intravenously.. please keep ian and claire in your prayers.. marjorie.
