Randy Watters, thank you!
by onacruse inthis may seem like a shameless plug for www.freeminds.org.
but it's not.. randy has been a source of significant information for me (and countless others) over the last decade(s), and very recently sent me (at his expense) some additional information about the wts.. now, one thing i must say is that randy and i do not share the same ideologies about religious perspectives.
but, ya know what?

Watchtower's annual Christmas edition - such hypocrisy!
by ozziepost inisn't it amazing to see that the wts are fond of decrying christmas, yet each year they publish a christmas edition of the watchtower magazine!.
they make all sorts of claims about christmas and how wrong it is and all that but never fail to bring feature articles in thir december issues that take advantage of that.. what hypocrites!.

Folks,
This person posting this time as Guest01210 has been allowed enough latitude, perhaps more than enough, but amply demonstartes the need for what I'm going to do. This person has had a fixation with spoiling different threads and when I called him out he has taken his ground on this thread for his battle, gaining the attention he wanted all along.
Guest01210 is deleted.

Has WTS abandoned "house to house" ministry?
by ozziepost inmany years ago now i remember hearing harold king sing the song he had composed whilst incarcerated for his beliefs in china; it was called "house to house".. nowadays it doesn't seem as though it's in favor.
notice its own description of its ministry which the wts has placed on its website:.
jehovah's witnesses are probably best known for their person-to-person ministry.

ozziepost
Well the scriptures indicated he did and its not exactly ambiguous about it.
Have another little read through the gospels, if you still cant find it, let me know and I will shoot the relevant scriptures across to ya.I'd be interested in that, too.

Actually, the jws I knew were relieved when no one was home so they did not have to talk to anyone, they could count their "two" hours whether they talked to anyone or not.
Same downunder too!

Many years ago now i remember hearing Harold King sing the song he had composed whilst incarcerated for his beliefs in China; it was called "House to House".
Nowadays it doesn't seem as though it's in favor. Notice its own description of its ministry which the WTS has placed on its website:
Jehovah's Witnesses are probably best known for their person-to-person ministry. Each congregation tries to reach all the people in its neighborhood with a brief Bible message at least once a year. This is usually done by Witnesses visiting from door to door. Witnesses will also talk to people on the streets, in parks and in other public places—wherever someone can be found who has a spiritual interest and a few minutes to talk. This approach is the same as that used by Jesus Christ and his apostles. The apostle Paul, for example, said, "I did not hold back . . . from teaching you publicly and from house to house."—Acts 20:20.

Is it possible that the lack of enthusiasm for the house to house service has forced the GB to do a re-think?

OTWO:
He hit-and-ran on you
How disingenuous you are! Some people have real lives to lead and in different timezones.
No matter, you've been made a patsy for someone who has their own agenda. You know very well that your post
http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/10/147957/2683938/post.ashx#2683938
broke Posting Guidelines. You have been the medium for posting by someone else who hasn't sufficient posts left.
Come on! How right are you?
Now what should a mod do? Restrict you too?
The facts are that i posted my reasoniing in this post: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/10/147957/2683936/post.ashx#2683936
It was just above your violating post
I have also posted my reasoning regarding the poster Guest01210.
Guest's posts are limited - not because of this thread alone.
Obviously I know how many posts he's using - you're can't be that naive
So my conclusion is that you are having a bad day and simply want to go into a fit for whatever reason.
Now that you've succeeded with Guest01210 in completely sidetracking this thread i hope you feel smugly satisfied.
But now what about your posting violations?
No more posts on this thread. Do what you falsely agree to when you post and adhere to Posting guidelines.
[Edited 'cos my post coincided with a scan. Sorry.]

OK, one more time for emphasis:
- Each year the WTS publishes a WT with a Xmas theme, often with a cheesy Xmas flavor. The 'official' line is that it's topical to take the householders' interest and make it easier to 'place™". When i spent time in bethel I know it was referred to as the Christmas issue. Check your bound volumes.
- The WTS have said that their site features articles from the current magazines.
- Yesterday their site featured a banner ad for the article for which I provided a llink.
- Today it's 'mysteriously' not appearing on the banner page.
Whether there is or isn't a picture on the print copy or whatever is immaterial given the above.
Anyone who was half-decent dub knows what I'm referring to.

OTWO:
Yep, we all have opinions, that's why it's a discussion board.
Did you actually limit the guest's posts because he disagreed with you?
Nope. Why ask it?
Anyway, this is now off topic so let's get back to the hypocrisy of the Borg, eh?

I didn't read his other posts, but your response was uncalled for and very unkind.
Was it? Please check Guest's posting history. It won't take long for he's been here just a few days. Every post is similar in what way?
I was expecting a picture of a magazine from your link or some proof that there was a
December mag with something about Jesus on the cover. Why? The WTS have stated on their site that they put up the latest articles. If it's re-run, too bad, it's what they are publicising - or they were until they pulled it from their banner page.
