I see from the video that in the New World the brothers still have to keep clean-shaven with 1950's haircuts in order to avoid getting disfellowshipped for looking like all those dead worldly people with headbands that died at Armageddon.
At least their Kingdom Hall got a new rennovation after Armageddon. It's been remodelled into some sort of open-air coliseum.

How do you feel about birthdays and Christmas now?
by Chariklo ini wonder...for those of you who were brought up as a jw or who have been "in" for many years, how do you feel about birthdays and christmas and celebrations in general now?.
the indoctrination/brainwashing is very strong.
once you are out, or, perhaps, still in but totally disillusioned and sure that it is all a lie, not the truth, do you find that you are determined to celebrate like mad to make up for what you missed, or do you find you have a lingering sense of guilt, however irrational you may now think it is?.

I was born-in but was never convinced that birthdays were wrong. I never saw the difference in celebrating the anniversary of events such as weddings and the anniversary of one's birth.
Birthdays are not a religious celebration, but Christmas is. So in my opinion, it should come down to your own religious beliefs when it comes to celebrating Christmas.
I think the Witnesses are right about the obvious pagan origins of Christmas and its traditions. So if you still believe in Jesus, you might or might not have some concern about the pagan traditions of Christmas. Or if you don't believe in Jesus, then why are you even celebrating his birthday in the first place?
But even though I saw and believed that the origins of Christmas were pagan while I was still living under my Witness parents' roof, I still believed it should be a concience matter rather than a disfellowshipping matter as to whether each person chose to celebrate it. After all, the bible says this right from the Witnesses own NWT:
" Welcome the [man] having weaknesses in [his] faith, but not to make decisions on inward questionings. One [man] has faith to eat everything, but the [man] who is weak eats vegetables. Let the one eating not look down on the one not eating, and let the one not eating not judge the one eating, for God has welcomed that one. Who are you to judge the house servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for Jehovah can make him stand.
One [man] judges one day as above another; another [man] judges one day as all others; let each [man] be fully convinced in his own mind. He who observes the day observes it to Jehovah. Also, he who eats, eats to Jehovah, for he gives thanks to God; and he who does not eat does not eat to Jehovah, and yet gives thanks to God." (Romans 14:1-6)

Have The Governing Body Rebelled Against The "Anointed Of Jehovah"? (Questions For Those Still In)

they even changed the baptism questions to indicate acceptance of this arrangement.
many have been disfellowshipped (aka spiritually executed) for failing to fully support this arrangement.

It's no longer possible to show loyalty to both the Governing Body and the anointed on Earth. It can only be one or the other or neither. Doing nothing is the same as accepting the Governing Body and rejecting the direction of the anointed remnant.
What about showing loyalty to God instead of men?

so how are these people who suddenly start taking the emblems viewed by the gb?.

Maybe you split yourself into billions of different personalities and have been everyone who has ever lived and will be everyone who will ever be born. Because it was up to God to allow kingdoms to be in power. Satan only had the power to pass those kindoms on to others.
Why did God forbid idols but tell the israelites to build 'copper serpent' and look upon it's eyes for healing?
Because the copper serpent was not worshipped, rather, it was the view of sin (the serpent) being hung on the pole or put to death that would save them.
Why in Isiah did God tell the Israelites he did NOT command for sacrifice and their sabbaths and everything were destestable to him?
Because it was not from their hearts that they did these things. He did not ask for sacrifices first. He asked for their love and commitment first.
Why in Jeremiah do the isrealites say they will continue to sacrifice to the queen of hte heavens because when they stop, all bad things happen to them.

At that time we had plenty of food and were well off and suffered no harm. 18 But ever since we stopped burning incense to the Queen of Heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, we have had nothing and have been perishing by sword and famine.”
19 The women added, “When we burned incense to the Queen of Heaven and poured out drink offerings to her, did not our husbands know that we were making cakes impressed with her image and pouring out drink offerings to her?”

I do not claim to be a licensed psychariatrist or anything of the sort. But here is what I think is going on with you:
The Witnesses claim to be the only true religion.
170 million sperm are produced each day by a man.
Each day that those sperm are not released, more are created, thus increasing sperm count.
When your mother conceived, it was because only once out of those 170,000,000+ sperms won the race into your mother's egg. That was you. You won.
Out of all the billions of people on Earth, you were born into a very good living conditions (America, I presume?) instead of the majority of the population being born into poverty and other bad conditions.
Out of the millions of Americans, you were born into the "only true religion."
You grew up with these unimagininable odds ingrained into your subconcious.
Later on in life, you found out that this "only true religion" and unimaginable odds had turned out to be a lie.
So on a subconcious level, you paniced and tried to make sense of all this. There had to be some greater conspiracy.
I know! It wasn't the Witnesses who got it wrong! It was the entire idea of Christianity!
Wait. No. Maybe Christianity has it right. Maybe the Jews were actually from Satan! And maybe the Christians were actually God's answer to Satan's Nation!
Think about it....

My JW grandmother who was a JW for like 80 years used to say "do you think Jehovah is tricking us?" as she got into her older years soon before she passed away.
Your two understandings seem to be that either:
1. Satan is actually the one true God
2. The god of the Old Testament was actually Satan pretending the be the one true God.
To your question - no. If the God of the Old Testament was the Satan in the New Testament, then prophecies about the Christ in the Old Testament would not have been fulfilled, such as the scroll of Isaiah that Jesus read and then stated "today, this prophecy has been fulfilled." The New Testament writers would not have quoted the Old Testament if it were about Satan pretending to be God. Also, if the God of the Old Testament was actually Satan, then the Jews would be the sons of Satan, and Hitler would actually be a good man for bringing the Holocaust.
