well i have been up and down this year with this current company i work for.

from the time they employed me they have paid me late, without explanation.

if he created them, then he would have had to use divine intervention to protect people from eating them or burning them.

even after being told not to and passing that knlowedge on, small children could inadvertently get into poison berries or mushrooms.

what about bacteria that causes extreme stomach problems like giardia?

I agree with that. We use evidence and logic is virtually every other area of our lives and yet, on this most important issue many choose not to. It boggles belief. If our lives somehow hang in the balance, why not be crystal clear with evidence? I don't understand, if there is a god, why god would kill most of mankind because he chose not to reveal himself.

If he was absolutely crystal clear on who he was there wouldn't be 1000's of religions with 10,000's of different views, beliefs etc. if our lives depend on it why not make sure we get it with no mistake? Why talk in riddles? Those things do not make any sense whatsoever to me. It's actually disgusting when I read folk saying the bible, or god or Jesus spoke in riddles because those people didn't deserve to know. You want worshipped or not for crying out loud!

i don't think it's asking too much for god to reveal himself without the threat of death hanging over us.

Time for this Newbie to say - Hello everyone!

in just the several months i've been lurking here, i have benefited from many of the posters comments and viewpoints.

this is truly a special place for the unique community that has been created here.. after years of holding off my exit from the org (that may be another post) i recently became officially out (by letter of da), but it was a very difficult process as many of you know.

thankfully, i now have my wife (was also a witness) onboard and we support each other.

1. What evidence is there that god exists as described in YOUR holy book or ideology without the need to use the book?

2. Your proof must be OBVIOUS for me to see in my every day life.

The questions are pretty specific.

None of those things prove that god exists. Not one. I can also spout a lot of things from the bible, it doesn't prove the existence of god. People existing doesn't prove that god exists.

hearing a message from someone who people say was the son of god doesn't prove that he was the son of god or that god exists.....I could go on.
