I have had some very weird dreams of late! I have dreamt that a good friend of mine bludgeoned his family. I dreamt that my husband divorced me for another woman, but then shortly thereafter I came into some $$. LAst night, I dreamt that I was in another country as a Scientist undercover.

In 1982, my sister (known on this board as 'Nikita') was baptized (I think that is the year she got baptized. Maybe it was 1983). In 1983, my mom was baptized (I clearly remember because she had a big towel that had the word 'DISCO' on it. Up close, the towel just looked like it had a design on it. However, from the stadium seats, that towel said, 'DISCO'!!! We were laughing at my mom as she was walking to the pool! LOL!)
Mom & I were baptized together-at The Vet-it was 1983. I was graduating from Girls' High but decided I wanted to be at the DC instead! The disoc towel is too funny-I wonder where those baptism pictures are we had? I'll have to look through my photos some time!

My teenage life revolved around girls, partying, hanging out, and having fun! I even hung out with Will Smith and Jazzy Jeff. They used to MC and DJ all the parties that were held at Central High School in Philly.

1984/1985, my mom and my sister drift away from being JW's. I reasoned, 'If they're not going to go, I'm not going to , either!'.
I can remember a talk prior to my baptism about how most people are tempted by Satan to quit the "truth" within a year of being baptized. (something like that) I remember thinking -"NOT me!"

proplog2 left a post the other day saying that they are "cured" and therefore leaving the site.. this got me to wondering...... why are we here?.
i tend to think that most of us are "cured", i think many of us have put the jw experience behind us.. personally, i am here for several reasons.. 1. to keep updated on what is going on within the organization, as it interests me.
i have several friends and my son still involved, and i need to know the latest.. 2. i like many of the people here.

THere have been some good ones mentioned but I have a few more to offer.
My absolute fave is "The Out-of-Towners" (1970) with Jack Lemmon and Sandy Dennis-it always has me in stitches as if I were watching for the first time all over again.
Another fave is "Gone Fishin" with Danny Glover and Joe Pesci-those 2 together are hilarious!
I also love "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" with Steve Martin and John Candy-another great combo there.
"Dr. Strangelove" is a must see as well-I haven't seen it in a long time but Peter Sellers is great in that!
