  Dear Argentina,

  I don't know if it's Lloyd -the twit- Evans who down voted. Someone has down voted sensible posts on the board for a very long time. Might be them.

  I hesitate to censor down votes. I occasionally down vote what I think is rank stupidity.

  And Lloyd still has supporters. Look at the number of twitter followers. And his patreon numbers are still above five hundred. I puzzle over people's ability to believe stupidity. I know people use the pejorative "cult" when referring to Witness culture. Academics tend to avoid the word, but with Evans and his followers it seems totally appropriate.

  Uncle B passed this article on to me. It's a quick read. It seems accurate, but it is one-sided. Active Witnesses, apparently chosen by the Spanish OPI, were interviewed. No disaffected or disfellowshipped people were contacted. Nevertheless, the article has some interest. And, yes, some of you will leave negative comments. [My one comment is above], but my preference is for thoughtful comments rather that "it's a cult" or similar.

  I didn't think Witnesses expelled people for divorce, unless they remarried without a solid inference or proof that their former mate had remarried or had sex with someone. If I'm wrong, and I certainly may be, please point my nose to a Watchtower reference.

  how far do we get away from 1914 before they have a new light and admit it was all wrong?.

  they cling to the old theory of the 77 week prophecy from the wrong date that jerusalem was destroyed .

  with the overlapping generations nonsense still we are getting too far away from 1914. what will they say if we get to the 2030s and they still cling to 1914?.
