Specific Comments By R&F About May Broadcast
by freemindfade ini know there are many posts discussing the may money requesting televangalism...er... broadcast i mean!
but i wanted to start one where anyone can put what they have heard any non-exjw, non-apostate witnesses say good or bad about the broadcast.
i don't see how it can't rattle followers... but then again i might be surprised how they can twist things (2+2=5).

Accountability and transparency are two terms that define good corporate governance. There is nothing close to governance in this May presentation. It should make the R&F angry. -

The watchtower was masters at what is known as "stuffing the supply chain." For example every publisher has stacks of un place magazines and books, the congregation has stacks of magazines and the society had an a corresponding stack of unsold. And yet at the same time they would advertise the how much publishing as proof that they were in pursuit of the hearts of the honest hearted truth-seekers.
In reality campaigns were simply to relieve excess inventory. Or at least to shift the inventory to the hands of the publishers.
This is a very inefficient and costly system. It seems they have gotten away from this by focusing on web-based material.

July Kingdom Ministry
by CloseTheDoor inthe july 2015 kingdom ministry says jws can't do international outreach through the internet, but to instead, point someone in the direction of jw.org site.. it's just another form of control.
the individual publisher is forced to send the interested one to a website fully controlled by the borg.. .

Yet again, the society shows their totally ignorance of the internet. aren't "chat rooms" 20 years old. I think they still view the internet with their Prodigy dial up. -

the age of adam when he died, anyone know?

I think Adam (West; aka, Batman) is still alive.
Sorry, the concept of humans living nearly a century is kind of silly. Thus, I made a silly reply.

Is the student more qualified than the teacher?
by John Aquila inwhat does the bible really teach page 110....
why does god allow suffering?.
the wt uses the illustration of a math teacher who is challenged by a student that the math problem can be worked out a different way.

As a professor I am highly offended by the illustration. Teaching is not about showing how much more you know than the student. The teacher should encourage experimentation. The student should work until the he or she gets it right. Eventually the student may figure out something that the teacher never thought of. - That is what education is all about.
If the teacher is confident he or she will be thrilled to have a student figure out a new way of thinking.

Mays JW TV Broadcast/Your feedback is appreciated
by ToesUp ini have a pretty good intuition but i have to admit i am going back and forth on the jw tv may broadcast.
i keep asking myself are they really in financial trouble (wishful thinking) or are they just grabbing for more money?.
i always appreciate reading everyone's thoughts and ideas on here.. let me know what you think.

I have two comments related to the rant for money.
This is a blatant grab for money - no different than at the assemblies where they say there is a $xx,xxx loss when in fact they play a game to give the illusion of a loss to extract that last dollar out of the publishers.
This may also represent the realization that the r&f are no longer willing to give. They may have seen a surprising drop off of donations.
But make no mistake - they are not running out of money. So, don't get your hopes up.

What happens when an elder bullys witnesses, both young and old
by fulltimestudent inmental and physical intimidation (bullying) while young increases the probability of mental illness as an adult.
that's the conclusion of a recent study.. "bullying may be more scarring than child maltreatment because while society recognizes child abuse as a serious problem, and supports its victims, people just don't see bullying the same way, wolke said.
"there're still people out there who think that bullying is a normal rite of passage you go through and toughen up, etc.," he said.but bullying leaves people with poor self-esteem and a lasting sense of distrust of other people, he told live science.

Bullying or another term - coercive power or control - is the basis of this religion. Your original question is what happens if?
The answer is that the religion will not survive. They need coercive power to survive. The elders are bullies because they have been trained to be bullies. They have been trained to be bullies because this is a formula that works; it is a necessary strategy to sustain the religious empire.
