on the six screens tele-network..... former jehovah's witnesses presiding overseer and watchtower historian richard rawe interviews a former jehovah's witness who was involved with the writing department of the watchtower society.. richards guest comes forward and speaks up, he is no longer inhibited or concerned with what the watchtower has to say.
wait to you find out what he was disfellowshipped for.. it is easy to get on the conference call.
There was actually an off-Broadway musical about Richard Rawe's life several years back. It only stayed open for a few weeks, but my wife and I saw it on opening night:
i've heard it said that the watchtower printed an official stance on what qualifies as "adultery" at one point in the 1970s??
they said that a woman was not free to divorce her husband if her husband had sex with another man or with an animal, as such sexual relations did not constitute "becoming one flesh"... apparently vaginal intercourse is the only means of fusing two human bodies together.... what watchtower is such a doctrine found in?
is it in the wt cd-rom?
Surely, God is with these people. This is food at the proper time.
Especially since it was later the same year (therefore, in the same bound volume) that they reversed that position. Apparently they quickly upchucked that particular "food at the proper time."
it has come to my attention that a new internet radio show will debut this saturday, april 30, 2011 at 10 pm edt.
i'm looking forward to seeing how it takes shape.
i wanted you to know about it.
I'd love to listen, but Saturday night at 10:00 isn't a time I'm going to be in front of my computer. It would be great to podcast it thru iTunes for later listening. I'm a salesman and sometimes drive as much as 300 miles in a day, so my iPod is an indispensible tool and I have lots of time for listening to podcasts.

Is there a way to podcast this through iTunes?
Didn't go, for the 11th year running.
If I got myself disfellowshipped, do you think my ex-wife would shun me to the extent of refusing to accept any more alimony checks from me?
harold camping has promised that the rapture will be on may 21, 2011.. .
they've put it on this van that "the bible guarantees it", so it must be true!.
after all, would this face lie?.
Actually the invisible beginning of the end was in 1994, the first time Camping set a date for the return of Christ. May 21 is supposed to be the culmination. You know, like 1975. ;)
does not matt 10 suggest that the household would not be those already in the faith?
"not deserving" or "does not take you in or listen".
matt 10:12-14 -- 12 when you are entering into the house, greet the household; 13 and if the house is deserving, let the peace you wish it come upon it; but if it is not deserving, let the peace from you return upon you.
Acts 20:20 HAS to mean "in private homes." The context shows that Paul is discussing his teaching of the elders of the Ephesian church. Nothing in the passage suggests anything about a door-to-door proselytizing work. In verse 20, Paul writes, "You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house." The "you" is shown by verse 17 to be the elders; not the regular church members, not the general public. He taught them "from house to house" by visiting the various private homes of the elders, not by going up the street knocking on doors. Unless the Witness is willing to take the position that Paul found a neighborhood, started going down the street knocking on every door until he found an elder of the church and then taught him, there is no warrant whatsoever for using this verse in support of a house-to-house ministry such as that of the JWs.
