Quick observation on Genesis, Jesus and original sin. If you read the ACTUAL account instead of the WT paraphrasing you notice that living forever is not contigent on obedience. In fact, the only thing keeping Adam and Eve alive was not God but the Tree of Life. In order for them to continue living they had to eat from it. In was not in God control that Adam and Eve live for ever, in fact, he had to banish them and then put a freacking angel with a rotating sword to block them from going in and munching on some magical fruit. Otherwise, they could have sneaked back in and lived for ever. God in this story says "look they have become like us, knowing good and bad". Almighty JEHOVAH GOD compares himself with the other celestial biengs. The whole ransom sacrifice is totally unneeded. Human were created to die. Living forever depended solely on eating magic fruit. Take away fruit=death.
Before Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, they didn’t know good and evil. Why blame them for doing something wrong when they couldn’t know it was wrong? It’s like punishing a two-year old for a moral infraction. In fact, Adam and Eve might not even have been two years old themselves.Could an omniscient God have been surprised at the result of the Garden of Eden experiment? And if he knew the outcome, why go through the charade? (Or might this all just be mythology … ?)

And as to the "prophecy" about the snake, I think the writer was literally talking about what happens when you accidently step on a f%$king snake!If you actually believe what is written in Genesis, you have bigger problems. But that is a whole other discussion :)

Same reason Oprah gave away cars in the beggining of her new season in 2004: to drum up ratings for the rest of the season. The WT is now in a "new season". New teachings, new FDS and now new Bible. Ratings have been falling for a while.

" i actually awoke an hour before my alarm went off, just thinking of everything that is bothering me about the wtbts.

So let me get this straight Stand for Pure Worship, not only were they way off on the whole Generation teaching, what the toes in the great image meant and the FDS teaching but on top of that they had a sub par bible for the past 25 years?!! WOW? Doesnt sound very Pure to me. Sounds like someone was sitting for pure worship

Usually Jehovahs chosen people never had to "adapt". Usually they would just kill everything else in sight.
If they are adapting, who are they adapting for? The world? I thought thats a no-no. I thought god never changes. If he never changes shouldnt his chosen religion never have to change either? A animal has to adapt to the changing seasons. The surrounding climate will force the animal to adapt. It can be said that the climate has a certain control over the animal's life. Is the surrounding world influencing this org to "adapt". If so who controls this org? The world or God?
