one of the points ray franz brought out in both his books is that most of the early literature is out of print and simply unavailable to jehovah's witnesses (or anyone else) today.. would there be any copyright issues involved in setting up a website, or an addition to this website (just a scenario) with a database of all this old leterature?
are writings from 100 years ago considered public domain now?.
i realize it would be a massive undertaking but with so many people contributing literature from their own collections.... .

i remember when i started *seriously* questioning what was going on with this organization...i found myself on a web page i dont think it was this one...and it just had quote after quote after quote from that "golden age"....ideas that were Sooooo far from what is taught now. wonder if that full golden age library is still available, or just pieces of it.
i just spoke to a witness friend (has been a witness 25+ years), who said that the elders in her congregation told her that witnesses had better be prepared to begin going door to door, not to announce "good news", but to denounce people who refuse to accept "the trvth".
has anyone else heard about this?
i thought it was a joke at first, but she said no, that's where the elders told her things were headed.

it's a good time to reflect on the real math. 100+-100 = 0 which is what the WTBS are 0. they say everything, because of this they say nothing.
even look at their 2008 dvd. they are saying on that dvd the end will come during a time of peace. i actually said this to someone at the kh, and they turned me in!!!!! they turned me in for what they're own dvd says. these people are in for some really bad karma, thank god or science or whoever you thank, that you are no longer associated with them.

hey, what's the name of that book "golden dawn"? "golden age" something like that? i know there was a jw book named something like this, that had inumerable insanities contained within. if that is available for download i'd like to get it. anyone know the actual name of the book ?

you know i was sitting here thinking for a second...and realizing about a lot of you guys(girls) that have faith, you know i'm sure a lot of you have great qualities in life. i think the problem is when someone like me or someone else challenges these notions of christ or whomever....it ends up being a challenge to your good qualities, because maybe a lot of you inextricably attach them together...so if the faith is challenged, it's like challenging your whole being. i assure you i'm not doing that. we rely on eachother's strengths to keep society atleast somewhat functional. and i know a lot of the people here, are much stronger than your average person, and much more connected into who they are, because of these trials the borg has created in their lives.

hey nice, someone that really pushes back in my face, i like it. what does it have to do with what you stated? the contradictions create a good deal of the holes. i can name hundreds of contradictions....not principle contradictions...but specific contradictions (contextual) within the context of maybe "dozens" of principle contradictions.

what i have stated is my belief system. i recognize it has many holes in it. but i like it, and there is an outside chance it's actually all possible. might be one in a trillion, but who cares, i like it. you cremate the human, he becomes a gaseous element, only to return later when all the tumblers click into place as a human again (or another higher life form). sure it's out there, i recognize this.
now all of you that believe some guy was roaming around palestine 2,000 years ago, born from no physical father...and snakes talk to people. will you do the same? will you make the same admission? that your belief system is really just as far out there as mine? and admit there are hundreds of holes in your religion? but you dont care because it suits you?

i am new to jw dissidents.
a couple of weeks ago i created a post asking what attempts have been made in the past to organize some opposition.
personally, i don't feel it would be fruitful to challenge the wt first amendment benefits.
they are self destructing, because of freedom of information. also the fact that they refuse to espouse any kind of psychology in their teachings, they are falling so far behind civil society. situations that arise between people inside the congregations, which are so simply explained by basic application of psychology, and also remedied by simple applications of psychology...they are still refusing this math of psychology. such as so and so has x amount of bible studies, and person y has less...so that means any issue that arises falls in favor of person x over person y. when again, basic psychology could explain and remedy such simple situations that arise...instead they use this archaic uninformed logic , which ends up exacerbating a little situation into a huge situation.
they are crumbling in on themselves. i remember a few years ago i was watching c-span, and one of these old political geezers was giving a lot of information on how things worked behind the scenes....apparently he was a repub, and he was talking about how they hated clinton, and wanted to see his demise so desperately. (i guess because of the sexual thing, to them that was like the equivalent of matthew 24:15)...and he said something like "just stop hitting the bastard and let him fall". i think the KO punch in this analogy has been landed, just a matter of how long it takes to fully manifest.
nikolas: if i could comment on your post. if you push things that hard, it might actually backfire. if you ever listen to the musings in type, or on tv, regarding the usa's stance on iran, you hear a lot of people say if you head on attack them, all it will do is unify them. ie. backfire.
in this analogy, the witnesses see this head on attack...they do no research as if it's true or not, they only see it as confirming their beliefs, and they unify.
