  so, this a long story but i'll try to keep it short.

  this was about 2years ago,.

  my wife brought up the un thing to my parents, much to their horror and despite me advising her not to.

  I particularly like the letter from the WT that states "This circular letter replaces any replies we have given earlier"

  The lies they gave earlier all backfired when the UN declaired them flat...out...lies.

  Yes, sunk cost fallacy. Not a logical fallacy, it's of a financial fallacy but it's the same.

  I talk mostly to JWs (taking their word for it) thru my videos and others. Many, know it's false, know it's total BS and they "don't care". That's what they say to me, they don't care. They also say "you had 40 years in, you are going to give all that up?" Yes, I don't care if I had 100 years in, I can't live a lie. But they don't care.

  They just want us to shut up, so they stop thinking about it and go back to sleep. I think it's great that as people wake up, so many are speaking out.

  Matrix moment - what was it and when did you share it?

  for those of you who had a moment like that from the matrix when you realised what you'd believed was fundamentally flawed or a lie - what caused that defining moment and how long was it before you could share your thoughts?.

  What's the strangest thing you've heard someone seek counsel with the elders about?

  personally, i never went to the elders with anything(not voluntarily, anyway).

  but a friend of mine once asked a couple of elders whether it would be acceptable for him and his wife to make a sex tape, for their own personal viewing.

  needless to say, the idea was frowned upon..

  It all happened really fast for me, like a bucket of ice water. Once I started to look the house of cards came down. UN was a punch in the stomach, game over maaan. Cried a lot. Throwing up came later, as I learned about the Pedophilia, Malawi/Mexico, Greber. Walked around wondering what planet I was on for a while.

  Happy to be in the real world now. Working to improve critical thinking, and other things so as not to ever be sucked into another matrix.

  I love this youtube user. So many of his vids are so spot on. It is what it is really like in JW land. So real it's creepy, yet he makes it all laughable. Serious release in that.

  before i express my opinion to the readers and contributors to this website (www.ex-jw.com), i would like to explain who i am and to present my bona fides as someone qualified to comment on this website and jehovah's witnesses in general.. first of all, i am an active jehovah's witness living just outside of new york city.

  being a large metropolis, new york has many kingdom halls located within the city and several more in surrounding boroughs, counties, and suburbs.
