Rutherfords view of the Holy Spirit
by Christ Alone indoes anyone have scans of these references?
this comment was taken from http://ed5015.tripod.com/jwoccultconnection58.htm.
joseph rutherford, the second president of the wts, believed his spiritual enlightenment came from angels because the holy spirit had ceased functioning since 1918. the angels channeled information into his mind from god residing on the star alcyone.

I'm not one to fall into the conspiracy theories, and personally I don't care for the freemason angle. The illuminati, the lizard people, etc, it's all just too much.
However, my own research into Greber, and other things, let me to believe they were into some pretty occultish stuff. Is is possible Rutherford was just a narcissist who made up crap as he went along? Of course, more than likely even, but it does sound like he was into channelling.
Some of the books, Grebers book and bible, he was a spiristist who spoke to spirits and the dead, Angels and women, whom a recent GB (sam herd) raved about, etc.
You don't even have to believe in it, but the fact that so much of the background and history of this organization is based on that creepy stuff, is alarming, even if it's only alarming to me.

DISCUSSION WITH A JW; YOUR INPUT PLEASE...
by Mary ini'm 'talking' with a jw on another site who of course, does not believe that they are 'false prophets' and says that:.
"...prophetic inspiration and being filled with the spirit ( to use a common expression) do not mean the same thing.".
"...again the wts is using the term "prophet" in the basic sense of a spokesman.

Yup, they shut down and run away. I did it myself. If someone made a good but critical point, I would just shut down. "they just don't understand"
Now I know, they understood perfectly well, *I* was the one who didn't understand.
Facing the reality of this is scary. I dealt with that myself. Seeds get planted however. I can honestly look back and see all the seeds that had been planted over the years. My research during my own wake up, really did fill in a lot of the blanks I had. It was like...no wonder I could never get this or that point, there was nothing wrong with me (which of course, I always thought there was something wrong with me, or that I wasn't one Jehovah wanted), but it turns out I couldn't get it, because it is insane. But when things first start to click, that this isn't God's organization, and holy crap the apostates are right, it does feel a little bit like "what planet am I on?" It's scary.

...We in the JW have no sense of humor that we are aware of...
I know many who are really oversensitive, and ZERO sense of humor about anything. They are extreme in the dogma. I remember once saying "look this fish is pregnant" in front of a 14 year JW girl, and had my butt handed to me on a plate for teaching her the word "pregnant".
Yeah some can be extreme.

(After I paid off my house, maybe buy a new car, a car for my kid, few minor things, and a nest egg for my old age) At this stage in my recovery, I would put it all to work. I would grease politians hands, I would grease news editors hands, bill boards, websites, etc. I would build Jehovah's Witness Recovery Centers across the street, from every KH haha, I would hire people to go door to door with the JWs, "we are here to make sure you get both sides of the story". I would hire folks just to hit up docs offices, laundromats, etc anywhere there may be literature to poison the koolaid by adding info like jwfacts.com and stuff.....
hey this is fun
I would hire the best (and sneakiest) private eyes I could, to just find out everything they could, including color photos....*eyes start to glaze over as she gets more and more lost in fantasy land of what she would do*

Why the Governing Body is not Evil
by garbonzo ini know that some of you don't personally think that the gb wants to cause harm or is only after the money, but after reading some posts on here, it seems like some of you do think that the gb is evil.. .
if you think about it, that doesn't make sense, but here is just one question.
why would the gb create a time limit on their organization if they believed it to be false?

They are evil in my opinion, it doesn't make sense when I look at them thru my "born in" eyes, but when I look at the facts, the history, etc. they are evil. I too struggled with...it just doesn't make sense.
But they go beyond what is written to the detriment of the followers, they either (a) don't care, (b) cared before they got to GB and found it's a sham and just now go with the flow, or they (c) truly belived they are God's gift (which is scary to think about)
What happened when one GB member did try to the right thing, did try to stick to scripture, did try?.....They crucified him, and anyone who dared defend him. People who have lived at bethel can also confirm how heartless, cruel, sexist, awful the GB members are. Randy Watters described something said by one, I don't remember what was as said as much as Randy's expression of his feelings. He said it was heartbreaking, that cold unfeeling comment coming from our future heavenly leaders (totally paraphrasing).
I hear either stories of the GB being slime....mean...or just disconnected, neither mean or slimball, just seem to have given up. Granted this is heresay, but when you (hear with your own ears) elders say, when confronted with changing doctrine that led to death...and they reply "so what, they will be ressurected" it is much easier to believe the person stories of bethellites, and such.
I personally find them evil. I don't think they are even really in control, I think they are being controlled. I think they only have the illusion of being in control. However, they stay in the position, they continue to do harm, they continue to destroy lives, families, etc. Yeah they are evil in my book.

They HAVE said they were told directly from Jehovah, they HAVE said they speak for Jehovah, they HAVE claimed inspiration. They call themselves the Ezekiel class, the Jeremiah class etc. All insired ..for example
They HAVE set dates, some quite specific for example: Sept 5, 1975..at sundown. Pretty darn specific. I made a video about it.
