"Feeling sorry for yourself" about being hit by your husband is not Christian 2/15/12 WT Page 25 P 12
by yourmomma inhave anyone of you read, the absolutly jaw dropping paragraph in this article about a women who was hit by her husband?
its in page 25 of the 2/15/12 wt study edition (i read the dumbed down version).. .
if there was any question, that the watchtowers stance is for wives to simply take it when their husbands abuse them, this makes it crystal clear.. who the hell is scanning these things before they go to print?

For now, I have just highlighted the paragraphs and sent that with a link to the original article on jw.org. I am working up something I can send snail mail. I want to include silentlambs and this stuff etc. Show just what kind of abuse goes on in this so called loving organization. If and when I get it pulled together, I will be happy to forward it to you.

I have sent it out to many domestic violence sites, local news both print and television. I do plan this weekend to spend time envelope stuffing and do so some snail mail to anyone who has any connections to domestic abuse. Including the information to silent lambs in my letter. I am really steamed over this. Thanks for watching.

Seriously fired up over this one.
Feb 15, 2011 Watchtower page 29 paragraph 12
"Selma recalls a lesson she learned from the Witness who studied with her. "On one particular day," says Selma, "I didn't want to have a bible study. The night before, Steve had hit me as I had tried to prove a point, and I was feeling sad and sorry for myself. After i told the sister what had happened and how I felt, she asked me to read 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. As I did, I began to reason, 'Steven never does any of these loving things for me.' But the sister made me think differently by asking, 'How many of those acts of love do you show toward your husband?' My answer was, None, for he is so difficult to live with. The sister softly said, 'Selma, who is trying to be a Christian here? You or Steve?' Realizing that I needed to adjust my thinking, I prayed to Jehovah to help me be more loving toward Steve. Slowly, things started to change. After 17 years, Steve accepted the truth."

I just think that more doctors who act as drug dealers SHOULD get punished. Drug dealer is a drug dealer, why does having an MD behind your name make it OK?

by average joe inwitnesses say they are not allowed to share convention notes, bible talks, videos etc etc.
i am pretty sure they're literature says they can.
does anyone know of a watchtower magazine or other publication that says they are allowed to share such things?

If they were speaking the truth. If they were truly spirit directed. There would be reason for things to be "easily misconstrued"
Crazy psycho cult babble, can be totally misconstrued however. haha

Not only was COJ DF'd but there was an active smear campaign re: him before. I highly recommend reading the letters between himself and Brooklyn on this matter.

Gilead School Changes to be read to all Congregations
by bnybyt inas of this week, and to be read from a letter to all congregations to coincide with the part on wt education at the service meeting, the announcement will be made that the gilead school will no longer be open to pioneer couples, rather it will become a specialized training school for special pioneers, traveling overseers and their wives, and those the governing body deems worthy of attending.
the gilead school has, since it's beginning, always been held in high esteem by the r&f, and seen as a summit to reach for service minded young jw couples.. could the recent dissentions by 2 gilead graduates who are actively promoting apostate ideas be influencing changes at how the gb sees the role of the gilead school and felt the need to shine this noo-light on its "educational" program?.
seems like another cemented pillar of the wt religion is crumbling as the new gb 2.0 tries to keep the ceiling from coming down.. maybe kool-aid man can devote a conference call to this subject ;-) .

I too wanted to go to bethel and giliad and all that stuff. I too am so glad I didn't, know that I know what really goes on in there.
I totally agree Found Sheep, well educated apostates, oh the horror. However, I find most apostates are well educated, especially in regards to the Watchtower. We know more than most active witnesses about all kinds of stuff, including their own history.
I personally, because I wanted to go, find those experiences from "inside" extremely fascinating.

What percentage of assmbly experiences are total fabrication?
by NoRegrets inwhen i was in 4th grade, i ended up in a situation involving minor school politics.
they had developed a "student council" which did little more than sell pencils at lunch time for fundraisers.
anyway, i was appointed by the teacher and didn't think much of it as an 8-9 year old.

True, based in truth, or totally made up, it is not if the story is real as much as how it is used. They use these as "planned spontinaty" it's is a form of mind control that falls under Mystical Manipulation. They use them to prove satan is working against them or Jehovah is working for them.
I cannot suggest enough, learn about Mind Control groups. Steven Hassan has some great information both in books and on his website. Learning about mind control the WBTS really does become transparent, and a joke. I was also able to let go of soo many of the teachings, recognize the mental land mines when they pop up and get rid of them. It has been really freeing for me.

I Don't Understand The November Watchtower About Apostates Being Insane And The Evils Of Blogging.
by AvocadoJake inhello, i am new and sighed up last night!

Basically is Mind Control mentality. You cannot fully understand their crazy talk untill you are fully indoctrinated. That's why the crazy issue is the study issue, and the calmer issue is for the public, until they get indoctrinated.
Like any good Mind Control group, they must demonize former members. We now know the truth they are hiding.
I suggest learning about Mind Control. So much of it makes sense when you understand the tactics they are using. A very good website with a brief, but complete breakdown of how mind control groups work is the BITE Model by Steven Hassan. http://freedomofmind.com/bite/
