  we all know jw children must sit quitly in there seats or they are taken to the back and given a spanking.

  here is what can happen to then.. .

  jwfacts-Spanking does not include hitting a child in the face or use of instruments or weapons, to inflict punishment. Spanking, on the butt, with a hand-to be able to judge the force of the swat,is a far cry from smashing someone in the face, beating someone with a rod, or using a spoon. When using the hand, one does not continue to spank without restraint or repeatedly.

  I usually end up sending my kids to their respective rooms or take away a priviledge, or make them to something they don't want to do, i.e., clean up the dog poop in the yard.

  I was spanked as a child, not abused, not beaten with a spoon or a rod. I feel very sorry for those people who have been victimized by their parents by being beaten.

  " although some of the accounts of abuse of children in s. africa in the story below are older, calab wrote me details of abusive treatment meted out to young people in his area that he chose not to put in his story for fear he could be identified.

  calab in now in university in another part of africa and very happy after breaking the chains that engulfed his mind.. barbara.

  Spanking is different from beating the shit out of a child. I was spanked, not beaten, the spankings were deserved.

  dear friends,.

  it has been a long time since i have posted.

  time heals much pain, and finally, my family and i have been able to move on with our life outside of jw land.. many of you became our friends, our support system, and you know very well our exit story...we were labeled, slandered and disfellowshipped for having questions regarding the date 607. we sent out letters exposing the elders and circuit overseer to over 200 families.

  my uncle was rushed to the hospital last tuesday with severe stomach pain.

  (he was diagnosed with colon cancer one year ago.

  the doctors, family,and my uncle decided against colon surgery.

  blondie! Excellent, as usual. I will definitely have to work some of your points in conversation with my hubby. He mentioned what paragraph 11 said about Solomon being married before he was king, but he failed to use your reasoning about why weren't his parents concerned with him marrying an unbeliever. You are so smart! Also, the points about Solomon having suffered no bad consequences for his actions, were very interesting.

  Had dinner with friends-found out none of got Baptized because we loved God

  my spouse and i had supper with some long time friends this evening.

  we got onto the subject of baptisim, and out of the four of us, we all got baptized for some other reason than love of jehovah.

  i find this to be really sad.

  My spouse and I had supper with some long time friends this evening. We got onto the subject of baptisim, and out of the four of us, we all got baptized for some other reason than love of Jehovah. I find this to be really sad. I was baptized because my father said he wouldn't go to my wedding if I wasn't baptized (1st marriage, lasted 4 horrid years). My hubby got baptized because his parents told him it was time for him to get baptized. My girlfriend got baptized because everyone else was, and her hubby got baptized because his friend did the year earlier and he was starting to get some heat from people in the KH.

  Not one of us got baptized because we had love for Jehovah and wanted to serve him forever. This is sad. The WTBTS claims that its people get baptized because of wanting to serve God forever, and because of love for him. I have met more people who were pressured into baptisim, or that they were expected to get dunked, so they did, than I have of people who wanted to serve god.

  How about you? What were your reasons for getting baptized?
