three year old polar bear victor, was born in the dutch zoo of rhenen.. a year ago he moved to the amsterdam zoo "artis" to be a new companion for a female who lost her mate - in the hope that this would result in some cute polar bear baby's.. .
but no, the mother "to be" died also - so there was no need for victor to stay any longer in "artis", and he moved back home where he was enthusiastically welcomed by one of his former playmates...... .
merry chistmas and a happy

my wife and i were talking today about how we just don't miss the meetings, the service, the association..... we miss nothing.
she's been a jw for over 25 years and i've been for more than 45 years----and once we simply stopped going, there was no sadness, no questioning our decision.
it's almost like we are carrying on as if we were never witnesses.
good to know everyone has gotten over the hate that still plauges myself, and others alike....
Don't worry, it comes with time for some of us...you'll get there! I never thought I would get over being mad, now I don't give any of it much thought. I did get a little aggravated when my brother started going back to the meetings after years of being disfellowshipped. He was just reinstated about two weeks ago. I've decided that if it makes him happy...more power to him. I am just happy that I am out and that I have moved on.
.
if you want a christmas card from us (therese and nick) pm me with your address and i'll send you one.
cheery panda hugs the forum
Panda,
Thank you for the Christmas Card...CUTE!
(obviously this question is for those who are non-religious in any conventional sense).
what have you replaced religion with in your life?
(by that i mean the religious life with it's rituals, worship and group identity) what is your raison d'etre?
I believe my thoughts are my prayers...I try not to dwell or think about things that I wouldn't actually want to happen in my life. I no longer believe in God or the Bible...not sure what I believe...life is a constant journey that I try to appreciate one day at a time.
for some reason they lost my name or something for talks, haven't done one in a year.
anyway i got assigned one and i sure as hell don't want to give it since i'm trying to get out as is.
i also don't want to make the talk but there is no way i can turn it over to someone else with my mom around.
One of my favorite quotes...
"Pack your bags, mom is taking us on a guilt trip"-Marty (little brother)

my friend and i went to have sushi yesterday, the place is downtown and believe it or not, there was an open parking spot right in front of their door...my friend pulled right in and said "jehovah must want us to have sushi today"...imao still!

Hello Been there! I am doing good and very excited about the holidays! Charlie is good, he is now living in Covington with his significant other. We should all try to get together soon...I had a really good time last time even though we were the only ones to show...LOL! Hey, it was about this time last year...remember...we went Christmas shopping!
Good to hear God is still pulling strings for you.
Yeah, I thought he had forgotten about me...obviously not...not only did we get prime parking, the food was excellent too!
