SHUNNING: How Jesus treated non-believers vs. how the WT treats them
by mcsemike ini have a question.
the wt insists that its members shun those who don't believe anymore and also to avoid those who don't believe but were never associated with jw's.
then why did jesus spend half his life speaking to the pharisees and non-christian people he met on a daily basis?

Claiming Christianity in an Apostate Organization!
by Dogpatch incourtesy of towerwatcher: claiming christianity in an apostate organization!
webster's dictionary defines the word "apostasy" as, "an abandoning of what one believed in, as a faith, political party, principles etc".
what better way to illustrate the true definition of acts of apostasy, than to list some of the criminal acts that many cults are committing today in the name of christianity.

The legal implications of a Watchtower power struggle.
by DT inin the united states, the courts have refused to hear cases about disfellowshippings or shunning issues because of reluctance to interfere with church law.
this has protected the watchtower society legally and given them wide latitude in how they abuse their members.. i wonder if this could also work to their disadvantage.
a disfellowshipping is a simple case of one person against many, so it can safely be assumed that the many are the ones enforcing church law.

Mama Watchtower's U.N. Ties
by jomac inas http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/11/92005/reply.ashx (read in full) says, yes, the main watchtower corporate entity may have cut the ties formally while another of its corporate tentacles continues the un ties formally (or even informally) as an ngo more on the quiet.
it is also definitely possible to associate informally rather than openly, formally do so.
wait till jw members find out what's still going on!
