ok, this hit me today...jw's teach its all about god's sovereignty and vindication of his name, satan challenged his sovereignty in garden of eden, also with job, he made the challenge job only served god because of everything god did good for him.

and to make our choice clear, he asks mankind to ...be wise my son and make my heart rejoice so that i may make a reply to him that is taunting me.... then, the next question is...didn't god basically take a bet????

The whole "Jehovah is proving Satan a liar" by letting him run roughshod over the world is such garbage. If I were Jehovah, Satan gets his ass kicked the second he starts messing with my creation.

But not the JW-Jehovah, he's just an impotent do-nothing who lets kids get raped in his org, and its just one big test to get into the magical eternal petting zoo.

RIGHT...! Also, its odd that Jw's teach God will intervene in mankinds affairs.....why not be proactive instead of reactive??? On one hand nothing is done to stop the mess Satan caused, yet some guys with primitive building skills at best start building a tower..."oh no we cant have that!!" i'll screw up their heads so they speak a new language....there that will fix em.... Jw's God has been very reactive instead of proactive it seems...your right, i make something that is a masterpiece...im gonna jealously defend its pristine state, no-one is gonna mess it up or they get their a** handed to them!

THEN, the next question is...didn't God basically take a bet???? Wagered with mankinds lives?? If we decide to side with one or the other, then we are just tipping the scale one way or another and winner has the most subjects?? STRUCK ME AS VERY ODD...

At the same time, if you get caught in a casino or playing the lottery, Jw's will DF you....hippo-critical?? it seems so to me....

Higher Education and Disqualification for Privileges in the Congregation

when i was still serving as an elder in the late summer of 2006 in a congregation of jws in socal we received a letter from the "christian congregation of jehovah's witnesses" (read: the governing body) directing that anyone pursuing a higher education would be disqualified from privileges of service: elder, servant, pioneer, etc.

i remember this quite distinctly because i had just received by ba in education in june a few months before this.

in 2002, i had decided to pursue a degree under the society's then current "it's a personal decision" policy and was quite shocked at their drastic policy change.

we just had a young HS student appointed MS who makes no secret about pursuing a degree in electrical engineering...confuses the heck out of me....no not really just more hypocrisy which abounds in these parts....

UK newspaper interest in "mentally diseased", any Witnesses want to come forward?

following the recent activity surrounding the "mentally diseased" apostate article, a major uk newspaper has expressed an interest in covering the story.

the correspondent as been told about this forum, and he is particularly interested in hearing from those inside the organisation, as i think few people are aware of how much unrest there is actually within witness ranks at the teachings of the society.. would anybody like to be used as a source, either anonymously or otherwise?

if so, it might be worthwhile saying a few words on this thread.

i was a born in, not too indoctrinated, left for 10 years, studied and landed back in the cult, thought i really found "the truth" got very active, made MS, but now i see, with my own "perceptive powers", how blatantly corrupt the org is, sick of lies, stupid unqualified "gifts in men" serving as elders. I would like to see the GB prosocuted for the "mentally diseased" diagnosis of emblem partakers and so-called apostates as practicing psychology without a license. I mean who do these clowns think they are throwing a blanket over these ones and using those kind of terms. i believe a psych professional goes thru years of schooling and gets up close and personal with a patient before assessing someones mental condition. and they certainly dont use demeaning or harsh words to describe them as such. i still am MS in good standing in the cong, but boy would i like to go to local churches and speak to locals about the "truth" about "the truth".

i just sent him a contrite email backing off of what i said and explaining my recent trials so its all good, i DO expect further convo later but no harsh action will be taken. if i get deleted, mission accomplished, the reason im mad and want to fire off some shots? well, lies by elders, coverups by elders, appointments of alcoholics, wife beaters, ambitious fakers, and outright hostile treatment of me and my family by so-called strong ones in cong...shunning for no reason by pioneers and other elites....completely inappropriate counsel by school overseer who is functionally illiterate, but hey, he can lead the school right? i could go on and on.........
