  only a few days ago i was walking around the house in a mindless wander thinking if i needed to seek professional help.

  then i got the courage to seek the comfort of complete strangers on the internet and found a world of support here on this website.

  How did you feel when they eliminated the Con. Book Study?

  years ago when i was "in" i loved the book study.

  it was my favorite meeting by far.

  mainly because it was a small group.

  OMG! Bookstudy was my favorite! When I was in PA we had it at my house, dad was an elder at the time. He's a cool guy so it was real laid back and chill. And last book study of the month we would have a "goodie night" but really it was a full blown dinner lol. And alot of my childhood friends were in my group. Lots of fun. Once I moved to GA book study got better. The brother whose house we went to also had a goodie night. But the interesting thing is after we said "amen" the lights would dim and the food AND cocktails would come out. He would say "the worship is over, now let's relax!" Best conductor ever lol

  a friend of mine texted me and one of the things she said was that they were getting a lot of great responses with the campaign because they are showing the video.

  I just viewed the video, thanks for posting that link respectful_observer. Wow ....that video seemed like an eternity long instead of just under 2 minutes. It stirred up zero interest in attending!

  TheListener- I think they were just starting the video stuff when I first started slacking off in service. I was still "in", but getting worn down from the jw life. Anyway, I thought the video thing was weird and never did it. I just stuck to the usual basic cult magazine presentation.

  Good morning from the east coast. I have a question. A friend of mine texted me and one of the things she said was that they were getting a lot of great responses with the campaign because they are showing the video. So no more just getting invitations into as many people hands as possible, now they have to watch a video too??? I haven't been out that long, just a little over 8 months. But I also hadn't really been out in service but maybe 2 times in the past 2 years. So is this video stuff standard now?

  This will be our first year not attending. I know my mother-in-law will ask if we went though, she's in a different city and congregation than us. But she knows we haven't been going. Anyway, the answer will be an unashamed, no excuse, guilt free NO 😉

  Almost Ready....

  so, 8 months after i realized ttat and 7 months removed from completely walking away from jw land, i think i'm almost ready to find out what it is i actually believe.

  after all of the research i did while exiting the jws, i took a much needed break from any religious/spiritual or whatever things.

  now i think i'm ready to explore, see what's out there.

  So, 8 months after I realized TTAT and 7 months removed from completely walking away from jw land, I think I'm almost ready to find out what it is I actually believe. After all of the research I did while exiting the jws, I took a much needed break from any religious/spiritual or whatever things. Now I think I'm ready to explore, see what's out there. The only thing I know 100% is I want no part of religion, organized or otherwise. I realized that is not for me. It will definitely be a journey, but I'm looking forward to it. It feels good to be open now though.
