  for decades now, those words have appeared atop one of the watchtower societys buildings in new york city.. that exhortation may never have been more needed by jehovahs people themselves than it is today.

  recent posts have asked good questions regarding what can or will sustain individual jehovahs witnesses who do truly love god, but who may be disheartened by various things they have seen in the organization.. it is clear to me that many witnesses spend far more time reading the societys publications than gods word itself.

  one reason sometimes given is that the preparation and research has already been done for you, thus making it easier.

  By this year of 2001, we can say with completely confidence, that the Modern Day Servant clearly has over the past few years, since his conception as of 1992, done the following things without any remorse or trace of repentance:

  "set himself in opposition" to the True Christ,

  "he sits down in the "Kingdom" of THE GOD"

  This is where he professes to rule, right in front of God, right up to His face

  AGuest, good point. Those 2 scriptures show what the Word of God REALLY is.

  i have a vivid memory of 1975 even though i was only 6 years old.

  i remember the whispers and the fervor surrounding the year.

  i even had an uncle who marked his calendar every day with big red xs proclaiming that he couldn't wait for "this evil system of things to end.".

  Both are corrupted.

  Religion is worse though as the corruptions are blasphemous. Religion hides behind God / Satan and uses them as an excuse... "Its God's will" (when it never is) and "Satan made me do it" / "Its the demons" (when they cant accept responsibility - remind you of a certain superstitious religion?)

  I'll post more later on this as I have to go.

  Accuracy of Bible Translation

  i am trying to find out more on the translators of the jw's bible.

  they claim and so it claims in the front of their bible that it was translated by experts in greek and hebrew.

  what training if any did these people actually have in these ancient languages.

  YHWH is known as YAHWEH, right?

  The English version of YHWH is JHVH. Using logic, its quite simple to work out JAHVEH is the correct name, and NOT JEHOVAH. Why have the "E" and "A" been swapped around and a "O" inserted? And you still use the shortened name of "JAH" too.... work it out.

  Oh well, letting a twisted blaspemous org use an erroneous name doesnt bring reproach upon His true name now, does it?

  What happened to "Jehovah's Christian Witn...

  i have noticed in using the wt-cd that the use of the terms "jehovah's christian witnesses" and "christian witnesses of jehovah" dropped dramatically after 1980. is there a reason for that?

  the elders wanted to know if i purchased anything new, thinking i was under demon attack.
