  Bulger killers release - just?

  with the news that the killers of jamie bulger have been released, it would be interesting to know how people feel.. from the mcveigh thread it seems that many americans believe the death penalty would have been appropriate.. i do not know whether many in the us know of the case in britain of a 2 year old being tortured and murdered by two 10 year olds.

  but now 8 years later they have been released.. i know of the arguments that they have been rehabilitated since killing jamie bulger.....but is this really justice?

  No, someone can hunt down THAT killer and give him a citation for bravery, and thank him for delivering better justice than the 'slappy-hands, bleeding hearts" system ever gave.

  Yeah yeah, whatever. Evil begets evil... the best way is to let them serve their punishment, whatever the law decides. The LAST thing you want to do is REWARD unrepentant, merciless murderers who deliberately break the law, KNOWING the full extent of their actions. What sort of message would that send out to society? If the courts dont deal out a punishment long enough, then its OK to take their lives?

  If the 2 do get murdered, then the killers should serve full term MURDER charges, for pre-meditated murder.

  They wouldnt have been released if the judge wasnt satisfied they were repentant. Give them a chance. Its only fair. If they blow that chance, then they will get what they deserve.

  Seeker,

  That person should serve their time in prison, and once done, people should let that person get on with their life. EVERYBODY deserves another chance. Whether it be a repentant paedophile, murderer, rapist, theif, drug dealer etc... Jesus forgave people of the above crimes, so we should follow that example. Failing to do that makes us hypocrites.

  How many people on this board have done something bad, and been given another chance? How many were deprived of another chance?

  The 2 killers were convicted and sentenced for their crimes. They have completed that sentence now. Thats the law, and theres little that can be done about it.

  Yes what they did was evil, but they do deserve a second chance. They have to live with what they did for the rest of their lives.

  If people are unwilling to accept that they have repented, and refuse to give them a second chance, then quite simply, they are bad people.

  just read this in the latest wt july 1st 2001 page 11 par#14:.

  "if we live according to god's word, we receive jehovah's holy spirit.".

  there ya have it.. all ya need is a bible, live it and your anointed.. they now determine who receives holy spirit.. wow!.

  the 2 A's from my observations, preach a biblically sound message, and practice what they preach. Their fruits from what I can see are good.

  On the other hand, MDS and rivals preach twisted crap and practice what they preach. Their fruits are bad.
