What's the "need" of this gathe...

even posting not so often, but with pleasure and feed-back as well, i do wonder why former-jw and i as well with my own subjects - have this "need" to gather and to discuss subjects related to wt.

some seams to use close to hours each days in front of the computer.

i don't see many other web pages of former-catholics or former members of other religions (not of my knowledge - i can be wrong).

guess i hadn't been paying "close attention" at the meetings a few years ago......apparently, jesus is not the mediator between god and men like the bible says, he's only the mediator between the 144,000 and jehovah - i guess the rest of us can go straight to hell in a handbasket...... .

how long has this bizarre theory been around??!!

Followers of Christ for the last I dont know how many centuries have called themselves Christians because of their worship of Christ as God.

Jehovah's witnesses, unlike most of the Christians throughout history, believe that Jesus is "just" Jehovah's son and that is it. *well...there's the Michael thing....retarded

So...what is the purpose of calling themselves Christians?

Why not Jehovahians?

Jehovah is the main center of their worship isnt he?

If JW's dont want to be associated with Christendom...why call themselves Christians?

When I was a JW child being raised in the "truth"; I thought that Jesus Christ was
just another one of the bible greats...like Abraham, David, Samson & Moses.

Sure...they will say that Christ died as a ransom sacrifice for us; but didnt Samson die
while glorifying Jehovah too?

Why not call themselves Samsonites while they are at it. Maybe they would get a discount
on their attache cases that they carry door to door.

Time- everyone wants it faster
Money-no one wants to spend very much
Quality-the best is always expected

You can only have 2 of these at once...

If you have to get something done quickly and dont want to spend much money QUALITY will suffer...
If you want to save money and get the best quality you will need more TIME...
If you want the best quality and the project done quickly....you will spend more MONEY...

Remember this....a lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine ;)
