Sorry I am a gin drinker. I drink gin and ginger ale. I can't have tonic water with gin because of the medicine I take for blood sugar. I do like rum though. Totally ADD

Here in the moutians of NW PA I cannot believe my windows are still open and it's almost July. Down in FL we would already be in our 3rd month of heat with the air on. When we moved at the end of april it was in the 90's. Here tomorrow with full sun it will be in the 60's for highs. But this weekend we will see some low 80's for highs. I guess I will pay the price this winter. Totally ADD

The Jehovahs witnesses suck the marrow out of enjoyment of life
by Star tiger ini believe that the jw's destroy any enjoyment that you could have out of this life!.
being a youngster that was almost born in, any single part of our life that wasn't part of the gb grand plan for world domination is evil, i still find it problematic to really enjoy wholesome worldly activities, thankfully my wife and kids don't have this!
i believe that i will probably relax into the fact that it is not that the world is bad but the jw's.. i long for the day that this truly destructive religion will end, hopefully the rank and file will become disillusioned and leave when the 100 years are up in 2014 and the tower falls!.

I agree with you Star tiger. In my thinking this is one reason I feel this is a cult. How could they be the true relgion by how they treat the young ones with all their rules and making children do adult things. This has caused a generation upon a generation of emotional sick people. I still question myself once in a while, but then I think what they have done to me and I get over it real quick. One day you will wake up and find most of this will be behind you and you will not feel so guilty about things. Just take it one day at a time. Keep venting on this site. Its good for the soul. Take care. Totally ADD

I remember when the Life Forever book came out and there was a picture of a husband and wife in the bedroom, with the wife wearing a bathrobe. Some sister got twisted in a knot about the picture and wrote the WT about it and they changed the picture. After all sex is dirty for married couples but it is alright to show Eve as a naked white women. We have alot of those old books. If had young children back then I would not have allowed them to look at it. If I was a teenager boy at the time I would not have needed national geographic. LOL Great job Marvin. Totally ADD

Thank you all for all your good wishes. The business is coming along. We are now deep into buying the equipment and getting all the legal stuff taken care of. We think we may have found a place to set up business. We were going to have it at our place put that may not be possible. We are on a internet auctions right now for equipment from a closed down donut shop. Trying to do this as cheap as possible. When we open our doors we will not own anybody any money. Also we will be the only donut shop in a 3 county area. Lots of mon and pop restaurant but no donut shop. So we hope this will be a good formula for success. palmtree67 I would push the button "No" becuase being on JWN has given me a life. Thanks for the laugh. All you people are very dear to my wife and I. Take care all and just like the song from "Three Dog Night" Celebrate, Celebrate dance to the music. Celebrate, Celebrate dance to the music. When did baptism turn into a wet T shirt contest?
by highdose inat what point did they require people to don a white t shirt?
because lets face it as everyone knows... white t shirts become see-through when wet..... so if they are going for the argument that it protects modesty then thats rubbish, why not insist on a black t shirt that would really do the job?.
instead people get baptised and as soon as they come up from the water whatever they were wearing underneath is there for all to see.. .

Who cares what 8 & 10 year old look like under a wet T shirt? That's what the cult is after now isn't? Getting back to the question. Most of these people who get baptised now days are not used to being put on public display. Think about it most assembly halls have a pool next to the stage. Raised up in the air above the main floor for everyone to see. Most people hate that undue attention on them. Plus at lease were I came from many of the women getting baptised were really over weight. Most wore pants or shorts and a dark T-shirt. Totally ADD
