Fading ... Do You Owe Witness Friends An Explanation?

i'm curious about what you all think on this subject.

when my husband and i became irregular about a year ago, and then inactive around 5 months ago, i felt that it would be hypocritical to take advantage of the social side of the witness community if we weren`t going to meetings or in service.

we stopped entertaining (which we did quite regularly - theme parties, card parties, movie nights, big turkey dinners, breakfasts on holidays etc), and i slowly stopped accepting invitations for get togethers, playdates etc.

So what word is out. Now you are completely free to come & go as you please. You can branch out, meet up with other XJW's from your community because I'm telling you now there's gonna be a good few more of them out there than you realise..

Thankfully me & my hubby have been able to befriend other xjw's through facebook too & that has been our saving grace. What country are you if you don't mind me asking... If your in the UK then theres a good number of us who are more than happy to cheer you on :)

As a JW - Did you See Meetings Continue in Spite of Medical Emergencies?

i was talking the other day with a fellow board member about medical emergencies occuring at meetings and how we both agreed that we ( while jw's ) had never seen a meeting stop or be cancelled due to medical emergencies experienced by a fellow jw.

the wt society trains jw' s to lose their authentic human feelings or any empathy towards others physical or emotional sufferings many times.

so many times at meetings , in spite of someone suffering a serious medical emergency it was " the show must go on " type of attitude displayed by congregation elders.. my first experience at seeing a medical emergency at the kingdom hall was an older sister who had an epileptic attack.

I sat through an entire book group study observing the facial features of my mother change. Her left side of her face had become frozen. It wasnt mirroring the movements of her right side and I knew it was possible she was having a stroke. BUT everyone including myself sat and did nothing because the book group was in full swing. It felt inappropriate to disrupt the meeting... I was no teenager but a married adult. At the end of the meeting we brought it to her attention and did nothing else. We allowed her to go home and all went about our business as usual. SHOCK HORROR.

Eventually she went to the doctors the next day and it turned out after hospital texts that she had developed the condition called Bells Paulsy. It could well have been a stroke & it could have cost her, her life...

It took me a long time to write this...i'm staying.

it took me a long time to write this....i'm being brutally honest...i am still a reg pioneer...three sundays ago,i was praying and asking god for a sign or something because i was so confused...i told him exactly what i needed to see for me to believe.i was feeling terrible--crying and feeling sick because i was so confused.ten minutes after, i walked into the kingdom hall and to my surprise--my prayer was answered!

i soooo wasn't expecting it, even though i prayed.

so this is where almighty god wants me to be,ii've reasoned.
