All good observations and I would/should add the huge new complex they are in the planning stages and seem to be going ahead with.

by mP ingiven that the printed word is forever and cannot be erased do the writers get into trouble for the embarassment they cause ?
every mistake results in someone today or tommorrow or nnext year and so on losing faith which is a disasyer for the org.
how do they hope to control these errors and prevent them from happening in the future.?

It becomes an over-lapping blame game. I thought it was what you said - over and over

I think maybe this all started with them making an error in judgement of something they published in the Examining the scriptures daily booklet. In order to make the r&f feel sooo special they said this "However, not everyone feels the way you do. In fact, those who truly make the Bible their guide are
a minority-only about 0.1 percent of the earth's population." And then some who had a brain cell left said, Hey that is absolutely a shitty record. After a hundred odd years and billions of hours burning up gas that is what we have achieved?? 0.1 percent. 99.9 percent have not responded to our glorious message and made jah thier guide.so now the big boys gotta come up with another winner like the over-lapping generation.

Yupers. Jesus, his pops, the fds. They have supposedly bin busy with the kingdom message for pushin a hundred years now. They have there rank and file drivin round the territories makin sure any and all will have the opportunity to learn about stuff that will allow them to have everlasting platitudinal life. But as they themselves admit in the examining the scriptures daily little booklet "However, not everyone feels the way you do. In fact, those who truly make the Bible their guide are a minority-only about 0.1 percent of the earth's population." Kinda pathetic when you think about it. Between the whole group of them they have influenced 0.1 percent, which seems to leave 99.9 percent for satan and his co-horts.

Reduced Magazines Etc: Scenario Thinking
by metatron inforgive me for creating this thread but i believe there are aspects of watchtower downsizing that have not been fully understood or 'fleshed out'.. for example: you have a publishing company whose main source of revenues are book and magazine production and sales.
their international presence is supported by the profits they make on these.
so far, so good.... overtime, their products fail to sell.

Yah, right. One thing you cannot accuse them of is not looking out for the bottom line. They are in the process of building up a new area on land that they seem to have gotten at reasonable rates. They seem to have lots of money for this project to go ahead. They have already transferred magazine printing to the canadian branch. Now they are going to lessen the demand on printing with less pages. Since they already have the mega project of Patteson and are now building the second such in the general area, are they planning to get rid of watchtower farm. It is getting quite old and perhaps the fact that they will not need the same capacity for printing??? I realize that canada is basically magazines but here too they need less and less capacity for other types of printing.
Just my rambling two bits worth, but I really do not beleive that they are in financial trouble.
