I usually grow a beard when I'm camping. But, lately, it makes me look older. So, I shaved it off. Some do look alright in a beard. But, I don't think that sisters should wear them.
The society is being dogmatic about this. Don't know when they will change that rule.

Technically, the FDS is everyone that participates in the memorial emblems at memorial time each year. They are represented by a Governing Body.
The Governing Body, however, are not only anointed ones. Recently, they have added what they call, "Helpers" to that class. These are of the earthly class. They form the various committees that have oversight in different capacities. There was a Watchtower Feb. 15, 2006 that stated that such were added to various committees since 1992.

Well, this is interesting. Most of the publishing of magazines go out from the Canadian Branch. I'm sure that the Christian Congregation of JW's do exist in Canada, so the lawyers will have to work hard on this one.
i was just flipping through the channels to find something for the woman i care for to watch, and i came across a movie tonight on the sundance channel called, "worlds apart".
it is about a jehovah's witness teen who falls in love with someone who is not.. although i can't watch it now, i am taping it.

I couldn't get the Elder Character with the beard. Since this is a movie made in Denmark...do bearded Elders exist in Denmark?
The Elders walking and presiding over a committee without wearing ties...is this a Danish thing.
But, of course I know that they will not be exactly like what goes on in the Congregations, today. The story does present a good image though of what goes on in the congregation if you don't tow the line.
